It is very common for people to suffer from diseases in their daily lives, because there are many factors in people's daily lives that can cause the occurrence of diseases, such as hemorrhoids, etc. Many people have encountered the situation where their buttocks are covered with blood after wiping them in their lives, but they don't know what caused this situation. So, why is there blood when you wipe your butt? First, why is there blood when you wipe your butt? Hemorrhoids, also known as piles, are the most common anal disease clinically. Hemorrhoids are pathological hypertrophy of the anal cushions at the lower end of the rectum. Depending on the location of occurrence, hemorrhoids can be divided into internal hemorrhoids, external hemorrhoids and mixed hemorrhoids. It is currently believed that internal hemorrhoids are pathological changes or displacements of the supporting structures of the anal cushions (anal canal vascular cushions), vascular plexus, and arteriovenous anastomoses. External hemorrhoids are pathological dilation or thrombosis of the subcutaneous vascular plexus distal to the dentate line. Mixed hemorrhoids are a mixture of internal and external hemorrhoids. Second, the specific pathogenesis of hemorrhoids has not yet been fully clarified and may be related to multiple factors. Currently, there are mainly the following theories. Varicose vein theory: The venous plexus is the main structure that forms the anal cushions. The formation of hemorrhoids is inevitably related to the pathological expansion and thrombosis of the venous plexus. From an anatomical point of view, the portal vein system and its branches, the rectal veins, have no venous valves; the walls of the upper and lower rectal venous plexus are thin and shallow; and the submucosal tissue of the terminal rectum is loose. These factors can easily lead to blood stasis and venous dilation. In addition, since the rectum and anal canal are located at the lowest part of the abdominal cavity, various factors, such as long-term sitting, constipation, pregnancy, prostate hypertrophy, huge pelvic tumors, etc., can cause obstruction of rectal venous return. It is currently quite controversial. Anal cushion depression theory: The anal cushions play the role of closing the anal canal and controlling defecation. Under normal circumstances, the anal cushions are loosely attached to the muscle wall of the anal canal; they are pushed downward by downward pressure during defecation, and retract into the anal canal after defecation with the help of their own contraction. When the elastic retraction ability weakens, the anal cushions become congested and move downward to form hemorrhoids. Mainstream Western medicine supports the theory of anal cushion descent. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the causes of hemorrhoids are related to wind, dampness, heat, dryness, qi deficiency and blood deficiency. Why is there blood when you wipe your butt? The chance of hemorrhoids is very high. The main symptoms of internal hemorrhoids are bleeding and prolapse. The common clinical symptom of internal hemorrhoids is intermittent bleeding after defecation. Some patients may also have difficulty defecating. Pain occurs when internal hemorrhoids are combined with thrombosis, incarceration, and infection. The grading standard of internal hemorrhoids is as follows: Grade I, blood or dripping blood during defecation, the bleeding stops on its own after defecation, and the hemorrhoids do not protrude from the anus; Grade II, there is often blood in the stool, the hemorrhoids protrude during defecation, and they can be returned to the anus on their own after defecation; Grade III, there is occasional blood in the stool, the hemorrhoids protrude during defecation or when standing for a long time or bearing weight, and manual assistance is required to return them to the anus; Grade IV, there is occasional blood in the stool, the hemorrhoids cannot be returned to the anus after protrusion or they protrude again after being returned. May be accompanied by erosion of the dentate line mucosa, exposed small blood vessels, anal fissures, etc. External hemorrhoids occur outside the anus and cause pain when going to the toilet, sometimes accompanied by itching. Common external hemorrhoids are mainly connective tissue hemorrhoids (skin tags, skin tags) and inflammatory external hemorrhoids. 3. Mixed hemorrhoids are the most common clinical form of disease. The symptoms of internal hemorrhoids and external hemorrhoids may exist at the same time, mainly manifested as blood in the stool, anal pain and swelling, anal itching, etc. |
