Especially since everyone's physical constitution is different, some people will develop small bumps at the tattooed area after getting a tattoo. This is folliculitis caused by tattoos.

What are the dangers of folliculitis?

First of all, folliculitis can damage our skin. If folliculitis becomes purulent, it can easily cause skin infection and bring more pain to the patient. We all love beauty, and the occurrence of folliculitis seriously hinders our pursuit of beauty. Therefore, we should actively treat folliculitis and use medications reasonably under the doctor's advice.

Folliculitis can recur and form chronic folliculitis. If it occurs on the scalp, it can cause permanent hair loss. If it occurs on the neck, the skin lesions appear as papillary hyperplasia or scars, which are difficult to cure. Folliculitis develops deeper and can cause perifolliculitis, called furunculosis. Multiple and recurrent furuncles are called furunculosis. In severe cases, there may be swollen lymph nodes, fever, headache, and even sepsis or septicemia.

Folliculitis is more likely to infect people

A disease that is more common in adults. Occupational exposure to mineral oil, asphalt, coal tar, topical corticosteroid ointment, tar ointment, and wound sealing therapy can all cause folliculitis. People with low immunity, taking immunosuppressants or diabetes are more susceptible to this disease.

Where does folliculitis often occur?

Folliculitis is more common in adults. It is common on the head, neck, buttocks and vulva. The patient feels mild itching and pain, but generally has no systemic symptoms. The rash initially appears as pinhead-sized red follicular papules, which gradually turn into miliary-sized pustules with hair running through the center and an inflammatory red halo around them. Most pustules appear in batches and do not merge with each other. After the pustule bursts, a small amount of pus and blood is discharged and a yellow scab is formed. The disease heals as soon as the scab falls off without leaving any scars.

How to treat folliculitis

Method 1

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that folliculitis needs to be treated based on syndrome differentiation and symptomatic treatment. Some Chinese patent medicines or Chinese medicines that cool blood, clear away heat and detoxify, and reduce inflammation can be used to regulate the body from the inside. Not only that, dietary conditioning is also needed. A reasonable diet helps to recover from the disease. Eat more foods rich in vitamin E, such as celery, amaranth, spinach, wolfberry, mustard, day lily, black sesame, etc.

Method 2

Folliculitis is usually treated by applying ointment to the affected area. Generally, 2.5% iodine tincture or Bactroban can be used. Apply the ointment to the affected area several times a day. If the patient has multiple cases and the condition is more serious, sulfonamides or antibiotics can be taken, and oral multivitamins can be taken.

Method 3

Pay attention to diet. Folliculitis patients should avoid eating spicy, greasy and irritating foods. Sweets that can cause getting angry, such as melon seeds and chocolate, should also be avoided. They should maintain a regular work and rest schedule, avoid staying up late, and avoid scratching and relaxing. Sometimes when you are under emotional stress such as work pressure, you can go hiking or sightseeing to relieve stress. To treat folliculitis, you need to persevere and control and restrain some taboos.
