Nursing methods for recurrence and spread of skin cancer after surgery

Skin cancer is a relatively common dermatological tumor disease. This disease is relatively common in our clinical practice, and the impact it brings to patients is very terrible. We must take good care measures for skin cancer to avoid causing more serious harm. So what are the care methods for the recurrence and spread of skin cancer after surgery?

Skin cancer is a malignant tumor that is extremely harmful to patients. It is also relatively common in my country. Basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma are the most common, accounting for about 90% of skin cancer. Because skin cancer is an external disease with high exposure, patients need to take good care of it. Experts say that skin cancer care includes surgical care and daily care.
Specific care measures for skin cancer:
1. Skin cancer surgery care: Do not use soap to wipe the skin radiation field during radiotherapy. Avoid direct sunlight and wind on the skin of the radiation field. Avoid using too cold or too hot water or salt water to wash, so as not to irritate the skin. Dry and itchy skin can be treated with borneol, talcum powder, prickly heat powder, dermatitis cream, etc.
Actively cooperate with the doctor and maintain a certain radiotherapy position. Keep the local area clean to prevent infection. For skin cancers such as squamous cell carcinoma and basal cell carcinoma, the surgical scope is generally not large and no special care is required. Patients should be exposed to sunlight as little as possible. In terms of observing tumor recurrence, recurrence at the original site is more common than distant metastasis or regional lymph node metastasis. After discovering suspicious recurrence lesions, you should go to the hospital for diagnosis and surgery in time. The effect of reoperation is generally better. If surgery is difficult, radiotherapy can be performed.
Skin cancer has a tendency to occur multiple times. During care, the entire skin area should be closely observed frequently, with special attention paid to more hidden areas such as behind the ears. Pay attention to postoperative reactions, such as bleeding, pain, abdominal distension, etc., and treat them symptomatically.
2. Daily care for skin cancer: Avoid excessive direct sunlight and exposure in daily life, especially between 10 am and 3 pm, when the ultraviolet radiation is strongest. When outdoors, it is best to wear long-sleeved clothes and long pants, a hat, sunglasses, and use sunscreen products, preferably sunscreen with an SPF of 15.
