About sporadic colorectal cancer gene mutation

Regarding the gene mutation of sporadic colorectal cancer, the occurrence and development of sporadic colorectal cancer is accompanied by the typical accumulation of multiple gene mutations. The intestinal environment should be the most direct influencing factor of the occurrence and development of colorectal cancer and gene mutation. However, to date, there is no literature reporting on what factors in the human intestinal environment these related gene mutations are related to.

To detect the mutation of hMSH2 gene in sporadic colorectal cancer. To explore the role of hMSH2 gene mutation in the occurrence and development of sporadic colorectal cancer. Methods: The mutation of hMSH2 gene exon 5 and 15 in 33 cases of colorectal cancer tissues was detected by PCR-SSCP method, and the obtained data were subjected to X2 test. Results: Three cases of hMSH2 gene mutation were detected in 33 tumor tissues, with a mutation rate of 9.1% (3/33); X2 test showed that there was no significant difference in the mutation rate of hMSH2 gene between different degrees of tissue degeneration and clinical pathological stages of tumor tissues (P>0.05). Conclusion: The mutation of hMSH2 gene is not related to the degree of tissue differentiation and clinical pathological stage of the tumor, and the mutation of hMSH2 gene may be an early event in the occurrence and development of colorectal cancer.
