How to treat liver metastasis after pancreatic cancer surgery

If you suffer from pancreatic cancer, many patients will choose surgery for treatment. Here is an introduction to how to treat liver metastasis after pancreatic cancer surgery.

Pancreatic cancer is a very typical cancer caused by eating. There are two important factors that contribute to the onset of pancreatic cancer. One is that the nutrition is too good, too many social activities, especially too much alcohol and meat intake; the other is that the individual is under tremendous mental pressure. Stress is a psychological factor, and social activities are a dietary factor. Both are equivalent to the acceleration and accelerator factors of cancer cells. In addition to the high incidence of pancreatic cancer among elite white-collar workers, those who are particularly cautious, introverted, and careful are also at high risk of pancreatic cancer, which is somewhat similar to gastric cancer patients.

For metastatic pancreatic cancer, treatment is:

(1) After the diagnosis of pancreatic head cancer is confirmed, surgical resection is the first choice. The standard surgical procedure is pancreaticoduodenectomy, which requires resection of the pancreatic head, duodenum, distal common bile duct, gallbladder, and gastric antrum. Gastrointestinal reconstruction is then performed, namely gastrojejunostomy, common bile duct jejunostomy, and pancreaticojejunostomy.

(2) For pancreatic body and tail cancer, pancreatic body and tail resection can be performed, plus splenectomy and lymph node dissection.

(3) Palliative surgery: Most pancreatic cancers cannot be cured after diagnosis, and palliative surgery is often used to relieve jaundice and duodenal obstruction.

(4) Other methods include chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

The prognosis of pancreatic cancer liver metastasis is sometimes difficult to estimate. Metastatic lesions can appear 20, 30, or even longer after nephrectomy. How long can a patient with kidney cancer live? This question is related to the patient's physical function to a certain extent. Good physical function and strong immunity, and consolidation treatment such as traditional Chinese medicine after surgery can resist the development of cancer and reduce recurrence.

The above is an introduction to the relevant content. I hope it will be helpful to patients and friends.
