Dietary taboos for colon cancer

Dietary taboos for colon cancer

Many parts of the body are prone to cancer, and the intestine is one of them. Compared with other cancers, the cause of colorectal cancer is still unclear, but the clinical manifestations show that people over 50 years old, those with a history of colorectal polyps, and those with a family history are more likely to develop colorectal cancer than ordinary people. Therefore, these people need to pay more attention than ordinary people. So, is there anything that patients with colorectal cancer need to pay attention to in their diet? Actually, there is.

1. Take vitamin E appropriately, such as eating walnuts, peanuts, dairy products, seafood, etc. Taking too much vitamin E may be harmful, so take it as appropriate.

2. Eat more foods rich in dietary fiber: konjac, soybeans and their products, fresh vegetables and fruits, algae, etc.

3. The intake of vegetable oil is limited to about 20 to 30 grams (about 2 to 3 tablespoons) per person per day.

4. Do not eat or eat less fried food. All cancer patients should eat less fried food.

5. Replace fine grains with part of coarse grains.

6. Pay attention to the intake of foods rich in the trace element selenium, such as malt, fish, and mushrooms.

7. Eat less or no foods rich in saturated fat and cholesterol, including: lard, butter, fatty meat, animal offal, fish roe, etc.

8. Eat more anti-cancer fruits and vegetables, such as sweet potatoes, cauliflower, blueberries, kiwis, etc. Pay attention to nutrition, take supplements at the right time, and increase your immunity. You can take Chinese medicine such as red ginseng and cordyceps according to your own situation to inhibit cancer cells and shrink tumors; fight inflammation and relieve pain, increase white blood cells, reduce the toxic side effects of radiotherapy and chemotherapy; improve the quality of life and prolong the patient's life span.

9. Eat more fresh vegetables and fruits to supplement carotene and vitamin C.

The doctor’s warm reminder: As the saying goes, disease comes from the mouth. Many diseases in life are caused by improper eating habits. Patients with cancer should pay attention to daily dietary taboos and not let bad eating habits push us into the abyss of disease.
