Sparkling wine is a delicacy that has been passed down from Japan. As a foreign food, sparkling wine is not only made from many fruits, but also has a relatively low alcohol content and can be consumed as a beverage. Its packaging is also very novel and interesting, so sparkling wine is also loved by many young people. However, for those who drink sparkling wine for the first time, there are many troubles. How should sparkling wine be opened? It is not appropriate to store sparkling wine in the refrigerator, because the odor of other foods in the refrigerator will penetrate into the wine, causing the wine to lose its original flavor. If the wine cannot be stored in a dedicated wine cellar, it is best to place it in a cool place and chill it in an ice bucket 30 minutes before drinking. (1) Do not shake the bottle. First, remove the aluminum foil covering the bottle cap. Wrap the bottle with a table cloth, then press the top of the cork with your thumb and slowly remove the wire. (2) Rotate the cork in the direction where there is no one around. Hold the bottle cap with one hand and the bottom of the bottle with the other hand. Rotate it left and right to apply pressure to the cork and slowly pull it out. (3) When the cork is about to be pulled out, press it for a while with your hand, then pull it out gently. At this time, the cork will make a "pop" sound and white bubbles will spray out, but the wine will not overflow. (4) Sparkling wine is drunk from a glass similar to a regular wine glass (flute), so that you can enjoy the bubbles while drinking. (5) Sparkling wine tastes best at low temperatures, so you can chill the container before using it. But don't chill the glass to the point of frost, otherwise you won't be able to observe the beautiful bubbles of the sparkling wine while tasting it. (6) When pouring sparkling wine, if you pour it all in at once, the bubbles will easily overflow the glass, so you should pour it 2-3 times, preferably until it is 2/3 of the cup. This is because it allows you to better observe the bubbles in the wine. When the waiter pours wine for the guests, it is best not to tilt the glass like pouring beer. (7) Sparkling wine does not need to be shaken like other wines. Just swirl it slightly and smell it. Don't shake the cup too much because the bubbles will dissipate quickly during the shaking process. (8) As mentioned earlier, wine refills are allowed, especially white wine. In order to maintain a cool temperature, refills should be made with chilled wine. But sparkling wine is an exception. It is not recommended to refill other people's glasses. The drinking temperature of sparkling wine is lower than that of white wine, and one of its characteristics is to appreciate the rising bubbles. Therefore, if the temperature of the wine in the glass is too high or the bubbles have disappeared, it is best to pour out all the wine and refill the glass. Of course, if it is very expensive sparkling wine, it is best not to waste it but to drink it in time. The best drinking temperature for sparkling wine is between 6°C and 10°C. For high-end sparkling wine, it is best to keep it at around 10°C. If the temperature of sparkling wine is too low, its unique delicate aroma will not be felt. |
