What are the sequelae of rectal cancer

What are the sequelae of rectal cancer

The cruel facts in recent years show that the incidence of rectal cancer has a tendency to shift to young people, which has dealt a serious blow to many young patients. So what are the harms of rectal cancer to the body? What are the sequelae of rectal cancer? You can read the following introduction.

1. Due to the blood loss and toxin absorption caused by the ulceration of rectal cancer tumors, patients with rectal cancer often experience anemia, low fever, fatigue, weight loss, edema and other symptoms. The harmful manifestations of rectal cancer are particularly prominent in anemia and weight loss.

2. The occurrence of left-side rectal cancer is also caused by the harm of rectal cancer. The intestinal cavity of the left colon is relatively narrow, and the feces have become viscous and formed here. In addition, this part is mostly invasive cancer, and the intestinal cavity is often annular and narrow. Therefore, clinically, patients with rectal cancer will have symptoms of intestinal obstruction earlier, and some patients with rectal cancer may even have acute obstruction.

3. Another hazard of rectal cancer is right-sided rectal cancer. The right-sided colon cavity is wider, the stool is thinner, the colon is rich in blood and lymph, and has a strong absorption capacity. Cancers are mostly soft cancers, which are prone to ulceration, necrosis, bleeding and infection. Therefore, the clinical manifestations of rectal cancer are mainly poisoning symptoms. However, when the condition of rectal cancer worsens, intestinal obstruction may also occur.

4. Abdominal masses are also caused by the harm of rectal cancer. They are hard masses that are infiltrated and adhered to the tumor or the omentum and surrounding tissues. Some patients with rectal cancer may have a certain degree of mobility along the intestinal tract. In the late stage, the tumor infiltration of rectal cancer is more serious and the mass may be fixed.
