Will frozen shoulder cause dizziness?

Will frozen shoulder cause dizziness?

The problem of frozen shoulder can indeed cause dizziness. In addition to causing dizziness, it can also cause shoulder pain, or joint stiffness and restricted movement. Therefore, the occurrence of frozen shoulder must focus on scientific treatment and prevention.

Symptom 1: Pain

Pain is the most prominent symptom of frozen shoulder. At the beginning, the pain is often mild, but it is often triggered by weather changes or fatigue, and will gradually develop into persistent pain, especially during shoulder rotation, elevation, abduction and other movements, and may even be extremely painful.

Symptom 2: Joint stiffness

Limited shoulder joint movement usually occurs 3-4 weeks after the pain symptoms become obvious. At first, people are afraid to move due to pain and muscle spasms. Later, the joint capsule, ligaments and other soft tissues adhere and contract, resulting in obvious stiffness of the shoulder joint.

Symptom 3: Shoulder discomfort or injury

Before periarthritis of the shoulder, there is usually a history of persistent shoulder pain and gradually reduced joint function. According to statistics, about 1/5 of the patients have had minor trauma to the shoulder or upper limbs. Therefore, the onset of frozen shoulder is relatively hidden, and it gradually develops into joint stiffness, which is one of the early characteristics of frozen shoulder.

There are many causes of frozen shoulder

It is generally believed that the onset of frozen shoulder is related to the following reasons: 1. Diseases other than the shoulder joint, such as coronary heart disease, pneumonia, cholecystitis, etc., cause shoulder pain and limit the movement of the shoulder joint. 2. The upper limbs are fixed at the side for too long due to upper limb fractures, cervical spondylosis, etc. 3. Soft tissue lesions around the shoulder joint, such as subacromial bursitis, supraspinatus tendinitis, etc. 4. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the occurrence of periarthritis of the shoulder, in addition to being closely related to the lack of vital energy in the elderly, is mainly caused by the invasion of wind, cold and dampness in the shoulder. Such as living in wetlands for a long time, sleeping in the open air, sleeping with shoulders exposed to the wind at night, etc.

Periarthritis of shoulder targets young people

When the temperature is high, if people work and live in an air-conditioned environment for a long time, the neck and shoulders will be attacked by wind and cold, which will cause congestion and edema of the shoulder soft tissue, contracture of the periarticular tissue of the shoulder, adhesion between the synovium and articular cartilage of the shoulder joint, resulting in limited shoulder joint movement and pain when moving. In addition, some young people work at a desk or use a computer for a long time, and the shoulder joint lacks the necessary activities, which causes its function to gradually decline. The shoulder capsule and the shoulder joint are also prone to adhesion, and further develop into fibrosis, which restricts the free movement of the shoulder joint. At this time, if it is stimulated by cold air, it will cause periarthritis of the shoulder. This is also one of the reasons why the incidence of frozen shoulder is becoming younger.
