Does endometrial cancer have genetic factors?

Does endometrial cancer have genetic factors?

Endometrial cancer refers to cancer originating from the endometrium, mainly adenocarcinoma, also known as uterine body cancer. It is common in elderly women and is one of the three major malignant tumors of the female genitals, accounting for about 7% of all female cancers and 20% to 30% of female reproductive tract malignant tumors. According to current research, the incidence of various diseases will increase if someone in the family has suffered from the disease. However, endometrial cancer is not absolutely hereditary.

There are two types of endometrial cancer:

Estrogen-dependent:

Estrogen receptor positive occurs in young women and is well differentiated, with a good prognosis

Non-estrogen dependent:

Estrogen receptor-negative, occurs in older women, is poorly differentiated, and has a poor prognosis.

Endometrial cancer can be diagnosed based on your own symptoms and hospital examinations.

Symptoms include vaginal bleeding, mainly vaginal bleeding after menopause, which is usually not much. Premenopausal women may experience increased menstruation, prolonged menstruation, menstrual disorders, etc.; vaginal discharge of bloody or serous fluid, lower abdominal pain, and obvious tenderness in the late stage.

Life care:

Endometrial cancer is preventable. Prevention measures include:

Have regular physical examinations; pay attention to the diagnosis and treatment of postmenopausal vaginal bleeding and menopausal transition period for menstrual disorders; when using estrogen, it is necessary to correctly master the application indicators and methods; for high-risk groups (such as relatives who have had endometrial cancer in the family), close follow-up or monitoring should be carried out.
