Methods for early diagnosis of laryngeal cancer include: (1) Indirect laryngoscopy: It can observe the structure and movement of the larynx and perform biopsy and pathological examination or smear cytology examination. (2) X-ray examination: Lateral laryngeal films, AP tomographic films, laryngeal angiography, CT scans, etc. are more helpful in determining the location and extent of cancer invasion. (3) Fiberoptic laryngoscopy: It is clearer and more detailed than indirect laryngoscopy, and biopsy is convenient and painless to the patient; it is an ideal examination method and should be promoted. (4) Laryngeal television imaging accompanied by video laryngeal oscillography: It is the most valuable examination method today to evaluate laryngeal function and pathological status. (5) DNA quantitative determination: Flow cytometry (FCM) is currently commonly used to analyze the DNA content of tumor cells. It is fast and highly accurate, and is very valuable for the early diagnosis, malignancy estimation and prognosis of laryngeal cancer. |
