Breast cancer also occurs in families

Breast cancer also occurs in families

Breast cancer can have a relatively obvious family clustering. It is now clear that having a relative with breast cancer is an important risk factor for breast cancer, and the impact of first-degree relatives suffering from cancer is particularly obvious. Statistical studies have shown that when judging the risk of breast cancer in women, the number of first-degree relatives with cancer, the age at the time of cancer, whether the cancer has been menopausal, and whether it is unilateral or bilateral cancer are all important factors to consider.

At present, breast cancer related to family tendency is divided into the following categories according to different backgrounds:

1. Hereditary breast cancer This is breast cancer caused by the inheritance of specific embryonic gene mutations.

2. Familial breast cancer refers to familial clustering of breast cancer in which there are first- and second-degree relatives with breast cancer but the disease does not meet the criteria for hereditary breast cancer.

Most of the breast cancers seen clinically are sporadic cases. A considerable number of them have no obvious pathogenic factors. Therefore, as the incidence of breast cancer continues to rise, all women should not take breast cancer lightly.
