Jaundice is a common symptom of gallbladder cancer, which not only aggravates the condition but also causes many physical discomforts to the patient. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the occurrence of jaundice is related to "dampness". The "Golden Chamber" says: "The yellow family gets it from dampness." The causes of jaundice are different, and its symptoms are also different. The main ones are as follows. 1. Yang jaundice: dampness and heat are trapped in the body together and can cause Yang jaundice. The yellow color is like gold, the upper body and eyes are yellow, but the lower body is not yellow; urination is not smooth during the day, either painful or painless, and normal at night. There are three types of pathogenesis: dampness and heat are both important, dampness is more important than heat, and heat is more important than dampness. Different dampness-removing and jaundice-removing Chinese medicines can be used for treatment according to the specific conditions of the patient, with better results. 2. Yin jaundice: Yin jaundice is mainly caused by cold and dampness blocking the spleen and spleen deficiency and dampness obstruction. The yellow color is not obvious, the lower body is yellow but the upper body is not yellow, urination is uncomfortable at night and smooth during the day. 3. Heat jaundice: This type of patient has obvious heat symptoms, mainly manifested as dry mouth, thirst, feeling uncomfortable after drinking a lot, and yellow body; eyes are pale yellow, urination is urgent and painful, and the urine is yellow juice. The cause of the disease is mostly due to heat in the bladder. 4. Cold jaundice: Patients with gallbladder cancer have a weak constitution and cold bladder, which can cause cold jaundice. Symptoms include fear of cold, abdominal pain, and regular relief; jaundice, white eyes, clear and long urine, especially at night. Treatment should focus on Atractylodes macrocephala, Poria cocos, Chinese yam, Euryale ferox, Coix seed, and Aconite to warm the gate of life. 5. Dry and yellow: The cause of yellow chest is extreme dryness of the lung, so it occurs on the chest. Generally, patients have respiratory discomfort, such as cough, sputum, chest tightness, etc. 6. Jaundice: Blood stasis can cause jaundice. The patient’s whole body and eyes are yellow, and he or she has fever, depression, and abdominal pain. 7. Qi jaundice: Long-term serious illness consumes Qi and damages Yin, which can easily lead to Qi jaundice. Symptoms include yellowing of the head and face, no fever, slight fatigue during activity, infrequent urination, and dry stool. |
