The incidence of kidney cancer accounts for 80%-90% of malignant tumors in adults. Many diseases have similar symptoms to kidney cancer. So, what are the diseases with similar symptoms to kidney cancer?

1. Renal cyst. Typical renal cysts can be easily distinguished from renal cancer through imaging examinations. However, when there is bleeding or infection in the cyst, it is often easily misdiagnosed as renal cancer. For benign renal cysts with irregular thickening of the cyst wall and high central density, comprehensive analysis and judgment are often required, and puncture biopsy can be performed when necessary.

2. Renal hamartoma. Also known as renal angiomyolipoma, it is a common benign kidney tumor with characteristic manifestations on B-ultrasound and CT images, and is easy to distinguish from renal cancer clinically. Due to the presence of fat components in typical hamartomas, B-ultrasound shows medium-strong echo areas in the mass, and CT shows areas with negative CT values ​​in the mass, which are still negative after enhanced scanning.

3. Kidney xanthogranuloma. This is a rare and special type of severe chronic renal parenchymal infection, with two manifestations: one is diffuse, with kidney enlargement, abnormal shape, and disordered internal structure, which is not easily confused with a tumor; the other is focal, with localized solid nodular echoes in the kidney, which lacks specificity and is sometimes difficult to distinguish from renal cancer.
