1. Nitrite. Nitrite is one of the strongest carcinogens. Patients in areas with a high incidence of esophageal cancer often eat sauerkraut and pickles, which contain very high levels of ammonium nitrite. Practice has shown that the amount of sauerkraut and pickles consumed is directly proportional to the chance of developing esophageal cancer.

2. Mold: Feeding mice with moldy food for a long time can increase the incidence of esophageal cancer.

3. Unbalanced nutrition: Lack of vitamin A, vitamin B2, vitamin C, protein and essential fatty acids in the diet can cause esophageal mucoproliferation and further induce esophageal cancer.

4. Bad habits: Long-term smoking and heavy drinking, long-term consumption of overheated or scalded food, or hard food without chewing it thoroughly are all related to the development of esophageal cancer.

5. Precancerous lesions. Precancerous lesions and other disease factors, such as chronic esophageal inflammation, esophageal epithelial hyperplasia, esophageal mucosal damage, esophageal diverticulum, esophageal ulcer, esophageal leukoplakia, esophageal scar stenosis, hiatal hernia, achalasia, etc., are all considered to be precancerous diseases of esophageal cancer.
