Diet therapy to promote recovery of pancreatic cancer patients

Pancreatic cancer is a relatively common tumor disease in my country. Surgical treatment does not mean that patients can rest assured. The recovery of pancreatic cancer patients also requires careful conditioning of daily diet to improve some uncomfortable symptoms while increasing body nutrition.

Cabbage and Shrimp Porridge

Ingredients: 200g cabbage, 10g dried shrimp, 50g minced pork, 100g glutinous rice.

Preparation: Soak glutinous rice in water, cut cabbage into shreds and cook porridge with glutinous rice. When it is half cooked, add minced pork and dried shrimps and cook until well-cooked. It is then ready to be consumed.

Efficacy: Strengthens the stomach and helps digestion, promotes appetite, and improves poor appetite in patients with pancreatic cancer after surgery.

Platinum soil brown sugar soup

Ingredients: 40g of Centella asiatica, 40g of Artemisia capillaris, 40g of Sophora flavescens, and appropriate amount of brown sugar.

Preparation: Add appropriate amount of water to brown sugar and boil it into syrup. Wash the moneywort, earthwormwood and white safflower separately with water, put them into a clay pot, add appropriate amount of water and boil it over high heat until the water boils, then switch to medium heat and continue to boil for about 2 hours, take out the soup, add brown sugar syrup and mix well, then it is ready to drink.

Efficacy: It has the functions of clearing away heat and dampness, detoxifying and harmonizing the stomach. It is suitable for pancreatic cancer patients with symptoms such as loss of appetite, indigestion, upper abdominal distension, nausea and vomiting, obvious weight loss, yellow skin, stinging urination, and reddish-yellow urine.

Prunella vulgaris, melon and pig pancreas soup

Ingredients: 40g of Prunella Vulgaris, 1 melon, 2 candied dates, pork pancreas strips, 120g of pork, and a pinch of fine salt.

Preparation: Soak the herb in water and wash it. Remove the melon pulp and seeds, cut into thick pieces, wash with water and set aside. Wash the candied dates and pork separately with water. Wash the fresh pig pancreas with water, cut off the fat and set aside. Add an appropriate amount of water to a clay pot and boil it over high heat. Then add all the above ingredients. When the water boils again, switch to medium heat and continue to boil for about 2 hours. Add a little fine salt to taste and it is ready to drink.

Efficacy: clearing away heat and promoting diuresis, nourishing the liver and relieving restlessness, promoting the production of body fluids and quenching thirst. Suitable for pancreatic cancer patients with loss of appetite, weight loss, left flank pain, night sweats, fever, and physical weakness after surgery.
