Drinking tea to treat postoperative constipation in patients with colon cancer

After surgery, colon cancer patients have gastrointestinal dysfunction caused by anesthetics and have not yet returned to normal. Most patients still have constipation to varying degrees, but this brings a lot of trouble to the patients' postoperative recuperation. At this time, it is advisable to let the patients drink tea that promotes gastrointestinal motility, which has a good effect.

Senna Tea

Ingredients: 5-10 grams of senna leaves and appropriate amount of white sugar.

Preparation method: After brewing senna leaves with boiling water, you can add appropriate amount of sugar and drink it instead of tea.

Usage: Use as tea, drink frequently, generally can be brewed 3 times.

Efficacy: Lubricates the intestines and promotes bowel movements.

Millet noodle tea

Ingredients: 500 grams of millet flour, 45 grams of sesame paste, 3 grams of sesame kernels, appropriate amounts of sesame oil, refined salt, alkaline noodles, and ginger powder.

Preparation method: Fry sesame seeds until brown, crush them, add salt and mix well. Boil water in a pot and add ginger powder. After the water boils, pour the millet flour into the pot, add some alkaline noodles and stir briefly. After the water boils, pour it into a bowl, mix sesame paste and sesame oil, pour it into the bowl with a small spoon and sprinkle with sesame salt.

Usage: Drink while hot.

Efficacy: Clears away heat and detoxifies, promotes diuresis and relieves constipation.

Honey Salt Water Tea

Ingredients: 30 grams of honey, 1 gram of refined salt.

Preparation method: Put honey and salt into a cup, add warm water and mix well.

Usage: Take after getting up in the morning.

Efficacy: Nourishes yin and moistens the intestines, promotes bowel movements and detoxifies.
