Is tinning harmful to the body?

Nowadays, many people working in factories need to come into contact with solder frequently, and a lot of smoke is produced during soldering, which is harmful to people's health. Tinning can generally be divided into two types, one containing lead and the other being lead-free. Tinning workers usually need to use both. So, is tinning harmful to the body?

The smoke produced during soldering operations is inevitable. It is impossible for us to not use tin when welding. Then using solder will bring us some bad things and produce some smoke, which will be more or less harmful to our human body. We all know that there are two types of lead on the market, one is lead-containing and the other is lead-free. We all know that lead is very harmful to the human body. When the human body absorbs more than 100ppm, it will cause discomfort to our body. There will be no problem below 100ppm, but most lead-containing solder materials exceed 100ppm.

It is recommended to use lead-free solder materials, which is more environmentally friendly and does no harm to the health of soldering workers.

The harm of tinning to the body

1. Release of toxic gases: The solder commonly used in factories now has a low melting point and contains about 60% lead and 40% tin, so the solder itself is toxic. Most of the solders on the market are hollow and filled with rosin. Rosin itself is a chemical agent. During soldering, the rosin in the tin wire melts and evaporates to produce toxic gases that are harmful to the human body.

2. Toxic heavy metals: Lead in solder is a toxic heavy metal that is very harmful to the human body. Even lead-free solder contains a certain amount of lead. The limit value for lead fume in GBZ2-2002 is very low and it is highly toxic.

3. Harmful to the body: Inhaled smoke can cause lung, liver, kidney and other functional failures.

It will affect fertility because soldering is accompanied by harmful gases and light, and harmful gases from burning

4. Causes vision loss: The smoke produced during soldering contains chemicals and tin smoke, which is very harmful to the eyes. In the long run, it will lead to vision loss and weakened color discrimination ability.

5. Radiation to the human body: When we use electric soldering iron to solder, it will generate certain radiation. This radiation has a certain impact on the human body, especially on embryonic development. It has a great impact. If you work in this industry for a long time, it may even lead to infertility.
