Dietary conditioning for patients with gallbladder cancer

Dietary conditioning for patients with gallbladder cancer

Dietary conditioning plays an important role in the treatment of gallbladder cancer. In the different treatment processes of gallbladder cancer, good dietary conditioning is crucial. Good dietary conditioning can improve the treatment effect and promote recovery. Poor dietary conditioning will often reduce the treatment effect or even fail.

Patients with gallbladder cancer should give priority to easily digestible foods. In the short period after surgery, try to reduce the intake of fat and cholesterol, do not eat or eat less fatty meat, fried foods, animal offal, etc. If you need it for taste, you can use some olive oil to cook food; increase protein-rich foods to meet the needs of human metabolism, such as lean meat, aquatic products, soy products, etc.; eat more foods rich in dietary fiber and vitamins, such as fresh fruits and vegetables.

Patients with gallbladder cancer should develop a habit of eating regularly and eat small but frequent meals to adapt to the physiological changes after gallbladder removal. The symptoms of indigestion in patients after gallbladder cancer surgery will last for about half a year. As time goes by, the common bile duct gradually expands and partially replaces the role of the gallbladder, and the symptoms of indigestion will be alleviated. At this time, the patient's diet can gradually transition to normal food.

Patients with gallbladder cancer should avoid eating animal offal and fried foods, fatty meat, and drinking alcohol to avoid affecting liver function or causing bile duct stones.
