Introduction to the three most common treatments for uterine cancer

Uterine cancer is a completely curable tumor disease. The earlier the treatment of uterine cancer is carried out, the greater the chance of cure and the less harm to women's health. What are the common treatments for uterine cancer ? Here are some common treatments for uterine cancer.

In general, common treatments for uterine cancer include:

1. Radiotherapy: This is a common treatment for uterine cancer. Currently, radiotherapy (intracavitary radium therapy plus external irradiation) and chemotherapy are generally used. The most common recurrence sites of endometrial cancer are the pelvis, vaginal vault and septum. If the recurrence is in the pelvis, patients who have not undergone radiation after hysterectomy should first undergo radiotherapy.

2. Hormone and chemotherapy: The biggest advantage of progesterone therapy is that it has few adverse reactions, especially no serious adverse reactions of general chemotherapy drugs that suppress bone marrow, and it is easy to use and does not require hospitalization. This is also a common treatment for uterine cancer.

3. Surgical treatment: The effect of surgical treatment combined with radiotherapy is better than that of simple surgery for the treatment of uterine cancer. When the diameter of the uterine cavity is >10cm, this combination of treatment is also appropriate. Most experts agree with total hysterectomy, but because uterine sarcoma can have direct para-uterine spread and intravascular tumor thrombus, a more extensive hysterectomy should be performed as much as possible, and pelvic floor lymph nodes may not necessarily be removed. For endometrial stromal sarcoma, it is advocated to perform intrauterine radium therapy before surgery, followed by total hysterectomy. This is also a common treatment method for uterine cancer.

The above is an introduction to the common treatment methods for uterine cancer. I believe everyone should have some understanding of this. These treatment methods for uterine cancer are available for patients to choose. They must be selected correctly according to their own condition and must not be selected blindly.
