Symptoms of different types of melanoma

Symptoms of different types of melanoma

Like other diseases, melanoma has different types, and the symptoms of different types of melanoma may also vary. Let's take a look at the symptoms of different melanomas.

1. Disseminating type This type has a superficial eczematous appearance, which is mostly developed from the infiltration of in situ melanoma, and the skin around the tumor has eczematous changes. Disseminating eczematous malignant melanoma has irregular edges and an uneven surface, with a variety of colors such as gray-black, gray-white, and light red.

2. Nodular type This type is the most common in clinical practice. The symptoms of nodular melanoma are that the tumor protrudes from the skin surface in a nodular shape, with a relatively consistent color of dark brown or grayish red, and occasionally colorless. The surface of the tumor is mostly regular, or cauliflower-like, or polyp-like, or fungus-like. Ulcers often occur on the surface. The tumor often increases rapidly in a short period of time, ranging from several centimeters.

3. Special type of tumors are located deep in the dermis and subcutaneous tissue, are small nodules, have clear boundaries, but no capsule, are grayish white or grayish blue, hard, and often accompanied by local lymph node metastasis

4. Freckle type This type is mostly developed from lentigo maligna in situ. The symptoms of this type of melanoma are that the epidermis near the tumor has freckle-like characteristics. Its edges become extremely irregular, but the surface is flat, and the color is mostly brown to varying degrees, which can also be similar to the spreading type. This type often occurs on the basis of facial freckles in the elderly, but it is less common in my country.

The above introduces the symptoms of melanoma according to different types. I believe that now everyone has a deeper understanding of melanoma. I hope that this understanding can be helpful to patients.
