What to drink to protect your throat

In our daily life, we are more likely to have sore throat and hoarseness. Especially those who use their throat frequently should protect their throat well. If you want to protect your throat, you should eat more throat-moisturizing foods, such as monk fruit tea and puffed lychee licorice tea. These teas can protect your throat very well. It is recommended that you give your throat proper rest, otherwise it will cause hoarseness.

How to protect your throat: drinking tea

1. Raw materials for Luo Han Guo tea: 1/8 Luo Han Guo, 5 red dates, 6 roses, 10 wolfberries

Preparation: Remove the outer shell of monk fruit, take out the flesh inside, break off a small piece (about 1/8 in size) and set aside. Rinse the red dates and wolfberries with clean water. Put wolfberry, rose, monk fruit and split red dates into a pot, pour in boiling water, cover with a lid, and simmer for 5 minutes before drinking. Efficacy: When your throat occasionally feels uncomfortable, drinking this tea can relieve sore throat and hoarseness, and you will feel much better the next day. People who use their voice frequently, such as teachers, should drink more often to prevent hoarseness.

2. Sterculia lychnophora licorice tea

Method: Rinse the Sterculia lychnophora and licorice with clean water. Add to teapot. Pour boiling water into brew. Add chopped sugar, cover and simmer for 10 minutes before drinking. Efficacy: People who talk frequently can also drink Sterculia lychnophora licorice tea to help protect their throats. Sterculia lychnophora can reduce inflammation, relieve pain, open up the voice and moisten the throat. Licorice can clear away heat and detoxify. Drinking Sterculia lychnophora licorice tea regularly can help relieve throat inflammation and pain. This tea is more suitable for people with sore throats, frequent smokers and coughs.

Note: You can drink it a few times a week, but don't make it your only drink every day. Drinking Sterculia lychnophora too frequently can lead to side effects such as weak spleen and stomach, reduced appetite, chest tightness, and weight loss.

3. Mint mulberry leaf tea

Ingredients: appropriate amounts of mint, mulberry leaves, Imperata root, grass jelly, Hexagram, chrysanthemum, and rock sugar. Method: Wash all the tea leaves, put them into a pot and cover them with water. After boiling over high heat, simmer over low heat for 30 minutes, filter and drink the juice. You can add rock sugar to taste. Efficacy: People who talk frequently can also drink mint mulberry leaf tea to help protect their throats. Mint has the effect of dispersing wind-heat, refreshing the throat and opening the voice. It can prevent and treat hoarseness, vocal cord congestion and sore throat caused by various reasons.

Note: Patients with cirrhosis and colds and coughs should not drink this tea. In addition, drinking too much of this tea can easily cause diarrhea.

4. Chrysanthemum Rock Sugar Tea

Preparation: Take 15 grams of wild chrysanthemum (double the amount for fresh ones) and 20 grams of rock sugar. Brew in boiling water for 10 minutes, add 20 grams of rock sugar and dissolve. Take 2 doses daily, drink instead of tea, until tasteless.

Efficacy: Drinking chrysanthemum rock sugar tea on a daily basis can also help protect your throat. And the chrysanthemum you choose should preferably be chrysanthemum or wild chrysanthemum. Chrysanthemum can help clear away heat and detoxify, cool blood and improve eyesight, relieve burning, dry, itchy and painful throat caused by excessive use of the voice, and can also help prevent and treat nasopharyngeal cancer.

5. Olive honey tea

Ingredients: 3 pieces of Sterculia lychnophora, 3g of olives, 3g of green tea, 1 spoon of honey.
