What symptoms will occur if you have a kidney tumor?

Because the early symptoms of kidney tumors are similar to those of other diseases, many patients delay treatment. To this end, the following will introduce the symptoms of kidney tumors so that the disease can be detected and treated early.

Kidney tumors can pose a serious threat to human life and bring great pain to patients. Therefore, only by understanding the symptoms of kidney tumors can we detect the occurrence of the disease in time and curb the deterioration of the disease in time.

So, what are the symptoms of kidney tumors? Let's introduce them below:

1. Hematuria: It is usually sudden and visible hematuria, without pain or other symptoms. About 70% of patients with kidney tumors will have hematuria. This type of hematuria is often intermittent and can stop on its own, but it can recur many times. If you pay attention to hematuria at the first time and seek medical attention as soon as possible, you can get an early diagnosis.

2. Lumbar pain: About 50% of patients will experience lumbago, which is one of the symptoms of kidney tumors. It is the result of the enlargement of the cancer lesions pulling on the renal capsule or compressing the surrounding nerves and muscle tissues. It is mostly dull pain in the waist or upper abdomen. Occasionally, blood clots are discharged downwards and cause severe colic, which can be easily mistaken for kidney and ureteral stones.

3. Lumbar mass: When the renal tumor lesion grows to a considerable size, the mass can be felt (or seen) from the waist or upper abdomen. About 20% to 30% of patients will have this symptom. The mass is easier to feel when lying on the side, and sometimes the mass can be seen moving up and down with breathing. If the mass adheres to the surrounding tissues, it is fixed and cannot be moved, which means it is in the late stage.

The above is an introduction to the symptoms of kidney tumors. Experts remind: If these symptoms occur, you must pay attention to them and go to the hospital for examination in time to avoid worsening of the disease and causing irreparable pain.
