Help you understand the pathogenic factors of intestinal tumors

Colon cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors, with the highest incidence in the age group of 40 to 50 years old. From an epidemiological point of view, the causative factors of colon cancer are related to the environment and living habits.

Genetic causes: People with a family history of colorectal cancer have a 2-6 times higher risk of colorectal cancer than the general population. A variety of oncogenes and genetic diseases cause great harm to colon cancer: familial polyposis, Turcot's disease, Gardner's disease, juvenile polyposis, Cowden's disease, neurofibromatosis.

Ulcerative nodules, polyposis, adenomas, etc. are all precancerous pathological changes of colorectal tumors, and the course of precancerous disease is 5-20 years.

Parasitic diseases: Domestic materials show that some late-stage schistosomiasis is one of the pathogenic factors of intestinal tumors. It is generally believed that the long-term deposition of schistosomiasis eggs on the large intestinal mucosa can cause pathological changes such as repeated ulceration, repair and chronic inflammation of the mucosa, presenting adenomatous hyperplasia, and on this basis, precancerous lesions occur.

Age: The average age of patients with colon cancer is between 60 and 65 years old. The older you are, the greater the risk of colon cancer.

Family history of colon cancer: It increases the risk of direct relatives developing the disease. Some family conditions, such as familial polyposis, bring a lot of harm to patients with colon cancer.

Other reasons: molybdenum deficiency, frequent exposure to asbestos, small stool volume, increased number of anaerobic bacteria in the intestinal cavity, ulcerative colitis, high food fat, and low food fiber may also be related to the occurrence of colorectal tumors.

There are many causative factors of intestinal tumors. Data from various regions in recent years show that with the improvement of people's living standards and changes in dietary structure, the incidence rate has also been increasing year by year.
