Talk about the causes of benign colon tumors

Colon tumors can be divided into two types: benign and malignant. The cause of colon tumors is not clear. Below we will introduce the causes of benign colon tumors in detail, hoping to help you better prevent colon tumors.

Among benign colon tumors, colon polyps and colon adenomas are the most common, and other benign colon tumors are less common, such as colon lipoma, colon fibroma, colon myoma, colon adenomyoma, colon hemangioma and colon papilloma, etc. The cause of benign colon tumors is closely related to the tumor type.

So far, the cause of colon polyps is unclear. Some may be related to long-term inflammatory stimulation or genetics. The occurrence of colon tumors is related to the following factors.

1. Long-term diarrhea. Many patients are prone to allergic reactions to the intestinal mucosa. For example, diarrhea occurs after drinking, eating chili peppers, greasy food, or seafood. Some patients may have diarrhea for no reason, which is one of the causes of benign colon tumors. In this way, chronic inflammation of the intestinal mucosa may occur, which may easily lead to the growth of intestinal polyps.

2. Long-term constipation. Patients with constipation often defecate once every few days. The long-term storage of feces in the intestines will produce various toxins, leading to chronic inflammation of the intestinal mucosa and the growth of polyps.

3. Heredity. For example, familial polyposis is a genetic disease.

4. Inflammatory diseases such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease and other diseases are prone to polyps.

Hyperinsulinemia may be the cause of colon adenoma. Insulin itself is a growth factor. It may have a direct tumor-promoting effect or work indirectly through growth factor-1. In addition, alcohol abuse can induce colon adenoma.

After reading the above introduction to the causes of benign colon tumors, I hope you have learned how to prevent colon tumors. If you have other questions, please consult a regular medical institution.
