Many people like to use air conditioning in the summer, which is very bad for their health and will definitely lead to air-conditioning disease. Therefore, it is best not to turn on the air conditioner for a long time when sleeping at night, otherwise you will often have symptoms of coughing and headache, which may cause your body to be in a sub-healthy state for a long time.

1. For household air conditioners, you can ask professionals to perform a comprehensive cleaning and disinfection once a year, especially the evaporator of the indoor unit. Qualified disinfectants and correct mixing methods must be used and performed by professionals. After disinfection, clean up the residual liquid of disinfectant to prevent the residual liquid from evaporating and causing harm to health. During the use of the air conditioner, the filter should be cleaned frequently (just rinse it with clean water), preferably once a week.

2. Before turning on the air conditioner, open the window for 10 minutes to ventilate and let as much fresh air as possible into the room. After the air conditioner has been turned on for a period of time, turn it off and then open the windows for ventilation for 20 to 30 minutes. Repeat this process to allow indoor and outdoor air to form convection and allow harmful gases to be discharged outdoors.

3. The indoor temperature should be controlled at around 25°C, and the temperature difference between indoor and outdoor should not exceed 7°C; the cold air outlet should not be directly facing people and desks.

4. Staying in an air-conditioned room with low temperature for a long time can easily cause joint pain. When entering and exiting an air-conditioned room, due to the large temperature difference between indoor and outdoor, and the sudden changes in temperature, it is easy to develop cold symptoms such as coughing, headache, and runny nose. In addition, since the air conditioner filter can absorb anions in the air, the number of cations in the room increases, which has adverse effects on the human body.

5. If the air conditioner is not cleaned regularly, dust and fiber will accumulate, and breed a large number of bacteria, viruses, mold, mites, etc. When the air conditioner is turned on, these dust and pathogenic microorganisms are blown out by the air conditioner, causing indoor air pollution and the spread of disease. Among them, the most harmful is Legionella hidden in the central air-conditioning ventilation system, which can cause Legionnaires' disease. In addition, mites are strong allergens that can cause allergic asthma, dermatitis, rhinitis, etc.

6. The respiratory system of the elderly is weak, so when using air conditioning, the temperature should not be too low. When the weather is dry, you can use a humidifier or place a basin of water indoors. Before entering the room from outdoors, wipe off the sweat on your body first, and it is best to set the air conditioner on timer.

7. Children have lower immune function. When using air conditioning, they should turn off the air conditioning and open the windows for ventilation half an hour before going out to adapt to the changes in indoor and outdoor temperatures. Effectively reducing the temperature difference between indoor and outdoor can effectively prevent it.
