What are the causes of kidney cancer

In recent years, kidney cancer has become one of the major diseases that endangers society and human health, and it has brought great pain and distress to humans. In order to reduce the incidence of kidney cancer, we humans should understand the causes of kidney cancer:

1. Smoking:

A large number of prospective observations have found that smoking is positively correlated with the incidence of renal cancer. The relative risk factor (RR) of renal cancer in smokers is 2, and the risk of renal cancer increases in smokers who have smoked for more than 30 years and smoke unfiltered cigarettes.

2. Obesity and hypertension:

A prospective study published in the November 2, 2000 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine showed that high body mass index (BMI) and high blood pressure are two independent factors associated with an increased risk of kidney cancer in men.

(III) Occupation:

Pathological specimens of renal cancer have reported that workers in metal shops, newspaper printers, coke workers, dry cleaning industries, and petrochemical product workers have an increased risk of developing and dying from renal cancer.

(IV) Radiation:

Statistics show that 26 of 124 tumors caused by a weak alpha particle radiation source were confined to the kidney, but there are no reports on the correlation between radiation exposure and kidney cancer in radiation workers and victims of atomic bomb explosions.

(V) Heredity:

Some families have kidney cancer, which is discovered during chromosome examination. People with a high incidence of kidney cancer have defects in the third pair of chromosomes. Most familial kidney cancers occur at an early age and tend to be multifocal and bilateral. There is a rare genetic disease, hereditary varicocele (VHP), in which up to 28% to 45% of patients develop kidney cancer.

The above are the causes of kidney cancer. Expert Tips: If you have symptoms of a disease, do not delay diagnosis and go to a regular hospital for treatment in time to avoid delaying the disease and causing serious consequences.
