The problem of cold hands and feet that is common in winter can actually be solved well as long as you choose the right method. We can solve it not only through diet, but also through foot soaking, exercise and other methods. As long as you master the correct method that suits you, you can effectively improve the problem of cold hands and feet in winter.

1. Ginger soup method

If you have cold feet and feel chilly all over your body, you can boil some hot ginger soup. Remember to drink it while it's hot, and then lie on the bed and cover yourself with a quilt to keep warm. This method is especially suitable for people whose feet get cold after taking a shower.

2. Foot soaking

Foot soaking is a very effective way to warm your feet and body. The temperature of the water for foot soaking should not be too hot or too cold. The most suitable temperature is between 38° and 43°. If conditions permit, start the water temperature at 38° and then gradually heat the water to around 43°. When soaking your feet, remember to submerge your ankles and rub them from time to time for better results.

3. Leg Raise

Sit on a chair or lie on your back on the bed, place your hands on both sides of your body, slowly lift your legs up, perpendicular to your body, maintain the vertical position for a while, then slowly lower them, and repeat this several times. This method can not only exercise the abdominal muscles, but also help lose weight and promote warmth in the legs and feet.

4. Massage acupoints

Massaging the Yongquan point can also warm your feet. After washing your feet with hot water every day, lie on your back on the bed, lift your feet, and rub them against each other until your feet feel warm. Next, use the palm of your hand to rub and stimulate the Yongquan point on your foot. This method not only speeds up blood circulation in the feet, but also helps improve sleep quality.

5. Marking Time

When doing in-place stepping to warm your feet, you should exert force when your feet land on the ground. Keep stepping for 5 to 10 minutes and your feet will be warmed up.

6. Ankle rotation

After sitting on the chair, cross your legs and rotate your ankles back and forth and left and right for 5 to 10 minutes. Rotating the ankles of both feet alternately can promote the circulation of qi and blood in the feet, thereby warming the feet. In addition, rotating the ankle can also dredge the meridians, increase the flexibility of the foot, and prevent sprains and foot discomfort.
