What are the clinical manifestations of malignant lymphoma?

Malignant lymphoma is a group of malignant tumors that originate in lymph nodes or lymphatic tissues. Malignant tumors are relatively rare in my country. In recent years, the number of new cases has increased year by year, with various manifestations. Lymph node enlargement is its characteristic. About 60% of the first cases occur in the neck, followed by the armpits and groin. The lymph nodes are large, hard and elastic, and painless. Let's learn about the clinical manifestations of malignant lymphoma.

Lesions can also be seen in tissues and organs outside the lymph nodes, causing dysphagia, nose bleeding, abdominal pain, diarrhea, ascites, hepatosplenomegaly, liver pain, jaundice, hemoptysis, pleural effusion, pathological fractures, central nervous system lesions, skin ulcers, etc. Hodgkin's disease is mostly manifested as lymph node lesions, while non-Hodgkin's disease is mostly manifested as extra-lymph node lesions. The manifestations of the two are not exactly the same. Systemic symptoms include chills, fever, fatigue, night sweats, weight loss, and anemia and cachexia in the late stage.

1) Antihistamines are usually ineffective. Itching is more common in Hodgkin's disease than in NHL.

2) In addition to the involvement of the lymph nodes above and below the diaphragm, the main symptom or sign of malignant lymphoma is painless enlargement of superficial lymph nodes.

3) Hodgkin's disease usually involves cervical or supraclavicular lymph nodes. Careful clinical examination may reveal involvement of other lymphoid tissue sites such as the trochlea, orbital lymph nodes, and Waldeyer's ring. Symptoms may include fever, night sweats, or weight loss.

4) Physical examination may also reveal splenomegaly. Patients with splenomegaly often have hepatomegaly. In late-stage patients, superior vena cava obstruction may occur due to mediastinal lymphadenopathy. In addition to lymphadenopathy.

5) The pain is localized in the affected area. Patients with Hodgkin's disease occasionally experience pain after drinking alcohol.

The above are the clinical manifestations of malignant lymphoma.
