Precautions for postoperative care of renal cancer

Precautions for postoperative care of renal cancer

In recent years, kidney cancer has become one of the major diseases that endangers society and human health, and it has brought great pain and distress to humans. In order to reduce the incidence of kidney cancer, we humans should master the precautions for caring for kidney cancer patients:

(1) Psychological care for renal cancer

Correctly and timely adjusting the mental state of patients with kidney cancer is crucial to the treatment and rehabilitation of their disease. In psychotherapy, the care, encouragement and help of others are one aspect, but more importantly, the patient's self-psychological adjustment, the courage to face reality, establish a firm belief in fighting the disease, and adopt a positive and optimistic attitude towards life. People should help patients realize that having kidney cancer is just a "threshold" on the road of life. You have passed so many "thresholds", so what is this? Just count it as a "test" of your life! Based on this, help them to correctly understand the knowledge of anti-kidney cancer and actively cooperate with medical staff; doctors and family members should also encourage them to gradually get out of the psychological shadow. It is recommended to adopt conservative treatment and food therapy. The most important thing for cancer patients is to improve the quality of life, increase the life cycle, adjust their mood and adjust their mentality, relieve psychological pressure as much as possible, and solve the problem from the source. Many patients now eat from food, and factors such as excessive psychological pressure, unreasonable working environment, living habits, and unreasonable dietary structure cause the body to become overly acidic, and acidic constitution is the source of all diseases. When most patients suddenly learn that they have been diagnosed with kidney cancer, they cannot bear this vicious stimulation psychologically, and they show pessimism, disappointment, listlessness, insomnia, anorexia, etc. Nurses should deeply understand the psychological changes of patients, care for patients, and establish a good patient-nurse relationship with patients. They should patiently explain the safety of treatment and the necessity of surgery to save lives, so that patients can stabilize their minds and cooperate with treatment.

(2) Understand the pathological changes of the affected kidney and the function of the contralateral kidney before surgery. Explain the role of various tubes inserted after surgery and matters that need to be coordinated. In order to improve the patient's physical condition, patients should be encouraged to eat a high-protein, high-calorie, high-vitamin diet to correct anemia and hypoproteinemia. As for the care before renal cancer surgery, the diet should be easy to digest, absorb, and nutritious foods, such as vegetables, lean meat, eggs, etc., which can maintain human nutrition. At the same time, if 4 to 6 capsules of ginsenoside Rh2 products such as Jinxing (Rh2) Life-Protecting Supplement are taken every day within a period before surgery, it can also enhance the body's disease resistance and create conditions for surgical treatment.

(3) After the operation, dedicated care is provided and vital signs are closely observed: blood pressure, pulse, and respiration are measured every 15 to 30 minutes and recorded until the patient is fully awake and the condition is stable. The measurement is changed to once every 1 to 2 hours until the next morning.

(4) Observe in detail the time, volume and color of the first urination after surgery. If there is no urine or a large amount of blood in the urine within 6 hours after surgery, contact the doctor immediately. Pay attention to the daily urine volume, color and nature, and collect samples for testing if necessary.

(5) Do not eat for 48 hours after surgery and receive intravenous fluids to promote diuresis and maintain water and electrolyte balance. If gas is discharged, a liquid diet can be given.

(6) After nephroureterectomy, a urinary catheter must be placed for 5 to 7 days. Pay attention to the unobstructed wound drainage or chest closed drainage, the amount and nature of drainage, and the bleeding of the wound. Prevent the drainage tube from falling off, bleeding, or excessive urine leakage. The dressing should be replaced in time if it gets wet.

(7) Patients with normal renal function and no complications of hypertension or edema should be encouraged to drink plenty of water, 3000 ml per day, to achieve self-flushing.

The above are the precautions for kidney cancer patients.
