How to remove the cuticle

How to remove the cuticle

Keratin is a substance present in human skin. Cuticle can protect the skin, but if the cuticle is too thick, it will also cause certain effects on human skin. However, a thick stratum corneum can be removed through certain methods, but the appropriate exfoliation method must be selected based on the specific skin type. Below, we will introduce different methods of exfoliation for you.

1. Exfoliation for dry skin

Characteristics of dry skin: The pores are relatively small and the skin surface is not oily. However, it is easy to form fine dry lines, which are most obvious around the eyes and lips. Dry skin is also prone to feeling tight and even peeling, and the feeling of tightness usually lasts longer after cleansing. In addition, people living in hot or cold low humidity climates are more likely to have dry skin!

How to exfoliate dry skin: Since the stratum corneum of dry skin is relatively thin, it is easily irritated. It is recommended not to exfoliate too much.

2. Exfoliation for Oily Skin

Characteristics of oily skin: more active oil secretion, obvious oiliness in the T-zone, large pores, and blackheads when touched; dark yellow appearance, darker skin color, better elasticity, not prone to wrinkles and aging, and relatively insensitive to external stimuli.

How to exfoliate oily skin: Since the stratum corneum of oily skin is thicker, it is not easy to peel off the aged cuticle, and once the pores are clogged, it is more likely to cause an "acne crisis". The most common exfoliating products, such as scrubs or softeners, are more suitable for skin with thick and rough cuticles, making exfoliation more thorough and effective.

3. Exfoliation for Normal Skin

Characteristics of neutral skin: Neutral skin has moderate moisture and oil content, is smooth, tender, soft, elastic, rosy and shiny, has small pores and is free of any blemishes. It is the most ideal and beautiful skin. Neutral skin mostly occurs in children, usually pre-pubescent girls under 14 years old. Few young people, especially after puberty, still have neutral skin. This type of skin tends to be oily in the summer and dry in the winter.

How to exfoliate for neutral skin: You can choose a milder exfoliating cream, or you can mix fine salt and honey and apply it on your face, which can effectively exfoliate.
