What harm does melanoma bring to patients

Melanoma is a very common malignant tumor. The occurrence of melanoma has a great impact on the patient's life. If you suffer from melanoma, you should go to a regular professional hospital for examination and treatment as soon as possible. What kind of harm will melanoma cause to the patient's life? The following is a brief introduction.

Melanomas of different natures cause different harms to patients. Nodular melanomas are more invasive and grow faster vertically, and are usually highly malignant. Histologically, they grow vertically from the epidermis to the dermis without horizontal growth. The mass is blue-black, but it can also be colorless. It is usually a polyp-like mass, sometimes cauliflower-like, or blood bubble-like and hemangioma-like.

Fluid accumulation in the malignant cavity is one of the hazards caused by melanoma and is also the most important complication of melanoma in clinical practice. If not handled properly, it can lead to rapid deterioration and even death. In addition, when normal tissues are destroyed and infiltrated by tumors, malignant melanoma can cause compression and destruction of adjacent nerve roots, local tissue ischemia and necrosis, obstruction of blood return, and infiltration of bones and periosteum, which can all cause pain.

Cachexia and fever are also possible harms that melanoma may cause to patients. Cachexia refers specifically to the extreme weight loss, mental fatigue, and physical weakness that occur in patients with advanced tumors. Malignant melanoma has many causes, such as bacterial and viral infections, connective tissue diseases, and functional fever. The surrounding skin of melanoma patients may become edematous or lose its original skin luster or turn white or gray. There is often itching, burning pain, or tenderness in the local area.

Warm reminder: The above is about the harm caused by melanoma. If you have melanoma, you should go to a regular hospital for examination and treatment as soon as possible, and take good care of yourself in daily life. I wish you good health.
