What do you need to prepare for Tibet

As people are becoming more and more interested in traveling to Tibet, many travel agencies have launched Tibet tour activities. Most trips to Tibet take about a week, so what do you need to prepare for traveling to Tibet? In addition to being mentally prepared, it is best to learn more about Tibet travel guides on the Internet to see which attractions are must-sees. In addition, you must also make some preparations for your own safety.

Preparation 1: Mental preparation.

Search a lot of Tibet travel information on the Internet in advance and organize them one by one. The information mainly includes the introduction of various scenic spots in Tibet, precautions for traveling in Tibet, self-guided travel notes in Tibet, Tibet tourist map, temperature tables for each month in various regions of Tibet, altitudes of various regions in Tibet, and ticket prices for various paid scenic spots in Tibet. Read carefully, learn from the experiences and lessons of predecessors, and be fully prepared mentally.

Preparation 2: Book in advance.

The means of transportation to Tibet include trains and planes, but many people also choose to travel to Tibet by car or motorcycle. Because Lhasa is 3,650 meters above sea level, traveling to Tibet by train is a gradual process and is the transportation of choice for most people. Generally, you enter by train and exit by plane. You can choose according to your actual situation. Whether you choose to travel by train or plane, you need to book train tickets and air tickets in advance. Booking tickets is much more convenient now than in 2011.

In addition, after arriving in Lhasa, traveling in Tibet usually involves chartering a car or carpooling.

Preparation three: material preparation.

Based on the information I found, I made a list of essential items for traveling to Tibet and prepared them one by one. If I didn’t have them yet, I quickly purchased them. The following are the items I prepared before going to Tibet.

1. Clothing:

Fleece jacket (or down jacket), combat pants, thermal clothes and pants, sweater (optional, I brought one but didn’t use it), pajamas (very important), long-sleeved clothes and pants, underwear, waterproof wide-brimmed hat, dustproof headscarf (multi-purpose, can be used as a headscarf, scarf, mask, and can also be used to make a masked hero), hard-soled high-top rainproof and non-slip shoes, quick-drying socks (very useful), umbrella (or raincoat), slippers, and sunglasses.

2. Daily necessities:

Toiletries (cups, toothbrushes, toothpaste, facial cleansers, towels), skin care products (toner, moisturizer), bath products (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, towels), laundry products (soap or laundry detergent), high-value sunscreen (index above 30, for professional outdoor sports), mosquito repellent, wind oil, flashlight (now mobile phones can also be used as flashlights), lipstick, mobile phone and camera chargers, batteries (spare for mobile phones, cameras, flashlights), power banks, portable thermos (I brought a large space cup, which is also very useful), paper towels (dry and wet), toilet paper, camera lens cleaning paper, USB flash drive, camera memory card.

3. Pharmaceuticals:

I brought a lot of things with me, including Rhodiola rosea, Ganmaoqing, Baijiahei, ibuprofen, berberine, vitamin A, vitamin B6, vitamin C, Huoxiang Zhengqi capsules, Qumixin cream, band-aids, and later I also bought Shanlitong in Lhasa, which is a quick and effective medicine for treating headaches. (Note: Rhodiola rosea is available in capsules and oral solution, and needs to be taken 15 days in advance.)
