Introduction to radical surgery for esophageal cancer

In a seriously polluted living environment, people's irregular diet has led to more and more diseases invading the population. Esophageal cancer is a type of esophageal tumor disease with a very high incidence rate, which poses a huge threat to people's physical and mental health. Next, let's take a look at the surgical treatment methods for esophageal cancer.

Method 1: Endoscopic laser therapy

According to clinical experience and observation, this treatment method has a significant effect on improving the five-year survival rate of patients in the early stages of the disease. The results of the experimental group showed that the five-year survival rate of endoscopic laser treatment was 97%, and the five-year survival rate of the natural course was 67%.

Method 2: Surgical treatment

In general, early-stage diseases are usually treated with surgery, with complete resection performed according to surgical principles, and precancerous lesions actively treated after surgery. If necessary, a series of consolidation treatments, such as radiotherapy, chemotherapy and traditional Chinese medicine, are performed to reduce the risk of postoperative recurrence.

Method 3: Endoscopic esophageal mucosal resection

According to relevant experts, for patients with early-stage disease without lymph node metastasis, endoscopic treatment can achieve therapeutic effects comparable to those of surgery. It is usually recommended that endoscopic examination and iodine staining be performed every six months or a year after EMR surgery.

Introduced above are the common surgical methods for curing esophageal cancer. Due to the different locations of tumors in different patients, corresponding surgical resection methods can be adopted. However, for patients with advanced disease, this treatment method cannot achieve the desired therapeutic effect.
