1. Observe the condition

2. Drug care

Family members should supervise and check that patients take medications on time, in the correct amount, and accurately. If necessary, check whether there is any residual medicine in the mouth, and try to avoid taking too little, missing a dose, or taking too much.

Family members are not allowed to change medications and dosages at will. Whether increasing or decreasing medications or changing the type of medication, all should be done under the guidance of a doctor.

3. Daily Care

Patients should establish a good life system and lead a regular life. They can engage in some light physical labor and outdoor activities appropriately, but should avoid excessive fatigue and stress. The diet should include nutritious and easily digestible foods, eat more light vegetables and fruits high in vitamins, and avoid overeating.

Try to avoid watching TV, using the computer, and playing electronic games for long periods of time. If it is unavoidable, keep the light higher than the screen brightness. Each viewing time should not exceed half an hour. Do not watch programs that cause mental stress.

4. Psychological care

Epilepsy is a chronic disease. Physical pain, family discrimination and social prejudice seriously affect the physical and mental health of patients. Patients often feel nervous, anxious, fearful, emotionally unstable, etc., and are always worried about the disease recurring.

Family members should always give care, help and love, and provide timely guidance for their children's ideological concerns, so that they can have a good living environment, a happy mood and good emotions.
