What to use to remove scale

After people use an electric kettle to boil water for a long time, or drink water from a cup for a long time, there will be a certain amount of scale on the kettle or the cup. Scale is harmful to the human body, so after scale appears, it must be cleaned up in time. So, what methods can be used to effectively remove scale? This will be introduced below!

1. White vinegar descaling method

Pour white vinegar and water into the kettle in a ratio of 1:2 (250 ml of white vinegar is enough, which means half a bottle of white vinegar bought from the supermarket is enough for one use). Turn off the power after boiling. Soak for 2 more hours. If it is a stainless steel electric kettle, it is best to use this method before going to bed at night. After boiling, you can leave it to soak overnight and pour out the vinegar water in the morning. After rinsing it with clean water several times, the kettle is completely clean. If you have an aluminum kettle at home, boil the vinegar solution and let it sit for 1 to 2 hours before cleaning it.

2. Alkaline liquid descaling method

If the main component of scale is calcium sulfate, then pour pure alkali solution into the kettle and boil it. After leaving it for two hours, the scale can be removed. Then, rinse the kettle with clean water several times.

3. Soda descaling method

Fill the kettle with water, add a little baking soda, and boil it. After a few minutes, the scale will fall off automatically. Rinse the kettle several times with clean water to make it completely clean.

4. Descaling by boiling potatoes

Boil 3 to 5 potatoes in a kettle for a few hours and the scale will fall off in lumps. Then, rinse it with clean water.

5. Descaling with boiled egg shells

Boil the egg shells twice in a kettle. Then, clean the kettle with clean water to remove the scale.

6. Descaling by boiling sweet potatoes

Put more than half of the sweet potatoes in a new kettle, fill it with water, and cook the sweet potatoes. Next time you boil water, there will be no scale accumulation. But be careful not to scrub the inner wall of the kettle after boiling sweet potatoes, otherwise the descaling effect will be lost. For old kettles that are full of scale, after boiling them once or twice using the above method, not only will the original scale gradually fall off, but it will also prevent scale from accumulating again.
