Cordyceps sinensis treats liver disease

Cordyceps sinensis treats liver disease

Everyone has some understanding of Cordyceps sinensis. It is a relatively expensive health product. The so-called Cordyceps sinensis refers to the fact that it grows in the form of insects in winter and in the form of grass in summer. It is very peculiar, and because of this, it is still effective in treating some diseases. Cordyceps sinensis is also effective in treating liver disease, which is related to its functions. Cordyceps sinensis can protect the liver, play an anti-liver fibrosis role, and can effectively improve one's own immunity.

Cordyceps sinensis has a good effect on protecting and improving the liver's function. It is an excellent product for the treatment and health care of liver diseases. It is specifically manifested in the following aspects:

1. Protective effect on liver damage caused by chemical poisons. The experimental mice were made to inhale n-hexane gas, and the animals were divided into two groups, one group took Cordyceps, and the other group served as a control without any protective agent. Under an electron microscope, the cell membrane of the liver cells in the control group disappeared, the nuclear membrane was broken, and the fine structure disappeared. However, in the animals taking Cordyceps sinensis, the cell membrane of the liver cells was intact, the nuclear membrane was clear, and the mitochondrial structure in the cells was clear, indicating that Cordyceps sinensis has a significant protective effect on the liver. In modern society, humans are inevitably exposed to chemicals that are harmful to the liver, such as pollutants, aflatoxin, drugs, alcoholic beverages, etc. Cordyceps sinensis has a protective effect on liver damage that may be caused by these harmful substances.

2. Anti-liver fibrosis effect. Many liver diseases can cause liver fibrosis, such as viral hepatitis, fatty liver, alcoholic liver disease, and liver damage caused by chemical toxins. Animal experiments have found that Cordyceps can inhibit the proliferation of liver fibrosis caused by carbon tetrachloride poisoning. Clinical studies on patients with liver disease have also found that Cordyceps can significantly reduce the biochemical indicators of cirrhosis. Cordyceps reduces the expression of the pdgf gene which is directly related to liver fibrosis by inhibiting the expression of a tgfβ1 gene, thereby inhibiting the activation of hepatic stellate cells, reducing the synthesis of type I and type III collagen, and alleviating liver fibrosis.

3. Improve liver function. Studies have found that Cordyceps sinensis can reduce serum alanine aminotransferase and bilirubin levels, increase serum albumin concentration, and reduce patients' serum type III procollagen and laminin.

4. Regulate the function of the immune system. Cordyceps sinensis can regulate the immune function of patients with viral hepatitis, help clear the hepatitis virus, and reduce the immune damage of liver cells.

5. Anti-fatty liver. Too high a level of low-density lipoprotein in the blood can invade the body's organs and tissues, such as the arteries and liver, causing atherosclerosis and fatty liver. Cordyceps can reduce the concentration of low-density lipoprotein, which is beneficial for preventing and alleviating fatty liver. Cordyceps can also increase the level of high-density lipoprotein in the blood, which can transport excess cholesterol from the arteries and internal tissues, and also help prevent atherosclerosis and fatty liver.
