Congenital vitreous opacities are a common ophthalmic disease, which mainly refers to the transparent vitreous becoming opaque due to congenital reasons. Once this disease occurs, not only will there be some obvious symptoms, but in severe cases it will also directly affect the patient's vision. It can be said that its harmfulness is very large, so it should be treated in time after the symptoms of this disease occur. What are the symptoms of congenital vitreous opacities?

The main symptoms of congenital vitreous opacities are:

1. Black shadows float, as if mosquitoes and flies are flying in front of your eyes. Not only does the onset of the disease occur suddenly, but the disease also progresses rapidly. Later, depending on the location and degree of vitreous opacity, it will directly affect the degree of vision. However, some patients have mild opacity, which does not affect vision but can be easily detected through examination with glasses.

2. More obvious turbidity. This symptom is often seen in degenerative myopia. The main manifestation is that patients often feel that there are thick and numerous black shadows in front of their eyes. In severe cases, vision will also be reduced to varying degrees. After a fundus examination, it can be found that there is dust or thick strands of floating particles.

3. Inflammatory: This is a phenomenon that occurs after inflammation occurs in the tissues near the fingers. Symptoms such as various retinitis and uveitis are relatively common.

4. Bleeding is often a symptom that occurs after trauma, surgery or various retinal vascular diseases.

5. Other symptoms, such as frequent foreign objects in the eye or even retinal theca cell tumors, can cause vitreous opacities.

After understanding the symptoms of congenital vitreous opacities from the above content, if any patients find themselves having suspected symptoms in daily life, it is very likely that they have this disease. At this time, they should go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment in time to prevent the disease from gradually worsening and causing other complications, which will then be more harmful.
