Treatment requires simultaneous treatment of sinusitis and otitis media. Sinusitis causes otitis media, which is mostly due to improper sneezing or sinusitis affecting the function of the Eustachian tube. You need to know the correct way to blow your nose. You should blow on one side, not on both sides at the same time. The force should not be too strong, otherwise it may cause otitis media. Oral cephalosporin antibiotics can be used for anti-infection treatment, 1% furacillin ephedrine nasal drops or oxymetazoline hydrochloride nasal spray can be given for a short period of time, the nasal cavity can be rinsed with normal seawater, and the nose can be sprayed with budesonide nasal spray to relieve nasal congestion and clear drainage. Blowing the nose after taking the medicine makes it easier to clear the secretions. You can take myrtle oil orally to promote the movement of cilia and eliminate secretions.

What are the dangers of sinusitis?

The clinical symptoms of rhinitis vary and are extremely harmful. When long-term and recurrent sinusitis is not treated in time, the inflammation will spread to adjacent organs and tissues, and may lead to complications such as frontal bone osteomyelitis, orbital bone wall osteomyelitis and periostitis, orbital wall subperiosteal abscess, orbital cellulitis, retrobulbar optic neuritis, epidural abscess, subdural abscess, purulent meningitis, brain abscess, cavernous sinus thrombosis and other critical emergencies.
