However, some people say that seedless grapes contain hormones and are bad for the body. Is this true?

The growth process of seedless grapes. Artificially cultivated seedless grapes have more auxin synthesized in the ovary in the late flowering period, and can directly develop into seedless fruits without the need for exogenous auxin or pollen stimulation.

The difference between seedless grapes and seeded grapes

Apart from the variety, there is no other difference.

Modern medical research shows that grapes also have anti-cancer and anti-cancer effects. Grapes are highly ornamental. People make them into various bonsai and place them indoors, which are fragrant, elegant, beautiful and unique. Or they are planted in front of or behind the living room. The vines are entwined, the flowers are delicate and fragrant, and they are the best at beautifying the environment.

However, the huge economic value of grapes lies mainly in winemaking, and 80% of the world's grapes are used for winemaking. However, with the enhancement of people's health awareness and the change of consumption concepts, more and more grapes are made into juice, becoming a delicious and multi-functional nutritious health fruit. Not only can it treat a variety of diseases, but drinking grape juice directly also has antiviral effects.

How do seedless grapes grow?

Then some people will have questions, how do seedless grapes grow? In fact, seedless grapes are cultivated using "triploid technology". For example, from a biological point of view, wild bananas are diploid and actually have seeds. They are very hard and almost impossible to eat. Later, people obtained the mutant seedless banana variety through hybridization and continuous breeding.

Then people introduced triploid technology. So far, all the bananas we eat are triploid, and the same is true for triploid seedless grapes.

There is another saying in society: seedless grapes are injected with gibberellins, and eating them will cause harm to the body. Let’s start with some basic knowledge. What is gibberellin? Gibberellic acid is a natural plant growth regulator. There are more than 60 kinds of it, and it has a history of more than 60 years of agricultural application.

Fertilized seeds can synthesize gibberellins during the development process, which can promote seed development and stimulate the growth and development of fruits. The seeds of unfertilized fruits do not develop and therefore cannot synthesize gibberellins, and sometimes exogenous stimulation is required.

Take grapes as an example. More than 80% of grape varieties in China are Kyoho. Under normal circumstances, the fruit set rate of this variety is not high, and a bunch of grapes varies in size. After treatment with gibberellins, the weight of a single grape can be increased by about 30%, and the fruit set rate is improved, and the size is more uniform.
