What is seborrheic dermatitis

Seborrheic dermatitis is not unfamiliar to many people. The incidence of this type of skin disease is very high, but most people still have certain doubts about the specific nature of seborrheic dermatitis, especially some symptoms of seborrheic dermatitis are easily confused with other skin diseases, so it is still necessary to understand seborrheic dermatitis from the root. So what exactly is seborrheic dermatitis?

1. Seborrheic dermatitis is a skin inflammation that occurs in the area where sebum secretes, which we can generally call seborrheic dermatitis . We can divide seborrheic dermatitis into two types. One is the type with more sebum secretion and the other is the type with less sebum secretion, which is drier, so it is also called dry seborrheic dermatitis.

2. The pathogenesis of seborrheic dermatitis is not very clear. First, this part is related to the secretion of sebum, and secondly, it is also related to local parasitic microorganisms. In this part of sebum secretion, there are more Malassezia furfur parasites. These microorganisms can decompose oil and change the composition of sebum. In the pathogenesis of seborrheic dermatitis, if the human body is allergic to the microorganism Malassezia furfur and other metabolites, it will produce allergic reactions and thus cause inflammatory reactions.

3. The treatment of seborrheic dermatitis starts from three aspects. The first is to reduce the oil. For the oil problem, you can remove the oil appropriately. You can use a mild, weakly acidic detergent to remove excess oil or greasy scabs; the second is to target the local reproduction of bacteria or fungi. This kind of bacteria is actually a normal parasite on everyone's body. In the area with seborrheic dermatitis, the parasitic reproduction of this microorganism will be more excessive. Therefore, you can use some drugs to remove this bacteria appropriately, such as ketoconazole lotion to remove fungi and bacteria, which are all helpful. The third is the body's reaction. The body's reactivity is affected by some factors, such as tension, anxiety, abnormal living conditions, etc., which may have an impact. Therefore, we must pay attention to a healthy routine in life, and then maintain a healthy mentality, which is beneficial to treatment.
