On TV, we often see a weak woman holding her chest and crying. People may think that this is acting and it will not happen in daily life. In fact, some diseases can also make people feel heart pain. The symptoms of heart pain mostly appear in the sternum and shoulder blades. When the pain occurs, you will feel a tingling or sharp pain, so many patients will cover their chests. How can one be diagnosed with angina pectoris? 1. Judging angina pectoris from five aspects 1. Part. The pain is usually located at or near the sternum, but may also be at any level from the upper abdomen to the pharynx. In very rare cases, it is above the pharynx. Sometimes it may also occur in the left shoulder, left arm, and occasionally may be accompanied by the lower cervical spine, lower jaw, right arm, upper thoracic spine, between the left shoulder blades or in the upper area. 2. Nature. Angina pectoris is a kind of compressive, dull and suffocating pain, rather than sharp pain or grabbing pain, tingling or electric shock-like pain, or chest tightness during the day and night is not colic. A small number of patients may experience a tense burning sensation or shortness of breath, accompanied by a tightness in the trachea or throat. It is mild at first, then gradually increases in intensity and then disappears. Changing body position or taking deep breaths does not change the pain. 3. Inducing factors. It’s mainly physical exertion, and then it’s emotional. Climbing stairs, brisk walking, walking after meals, walking against the wind, even straining during bowel movements or raising arms above the head, cold weather, cold drinks, as well as emotions such as tension, worry, fear, and anger may all trigger angina pectoris. 4. Time limit. Generally it lasts 1-15 minutes, most of the time it is 3-5 minutes, and very rarely it lasts up to 30 minutes. If the pain only lasts a few seconds or the discomfort lasts for a whole day or several days, it is not angina pectoris. 5. The effect of nitroglycerin. Angina should be relieved within 5 minutes of taking a sublingual nitroglycerin tablet. But if the angina is supine, nitroglycerin may not be effective. When judging the effects of nitroglycerin, it is important to note whether the drug being used has expired or is close to expiration. Today we will introduce to you how to judge angina pectoris from five aspects. Do you all understand? Angina pectoris is very common in life, especially among the elderly.
