Why do we need to do bone marrow puncture

Bone marrow puncture is actually an auxiliary examination to check for blood diseases. It is used to rule out blood diseases such as leukemia. As we all know, if there is a sudden increase or decrease in the number of red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets in the human body for unknown reasons, a bone marrow puncture is required. If you unfortunately suffer from a blood disease, you must receive treatment in time.

Why do you get leukemia?

1: In our daily life, being in a polluted environment for a long time and inhaling a large amount of harmful substances can also cause adverse changes in the blood.

What is more important to note is that the hair dyes often used by girls contain toxic substances that can enter the body through the skin, which can easily cause DNA damage and cell mutations. In addition, hair dye, decoration, gasoline and pesticides are all factors that can cause blood abnormalities.

2: As we all know, many newlyweds will buy new houses, and the newly decorated houses contain a lot of formaldehyde, which has been identified as a Class 1 carcinogen by the World Health Organization. Leukemia is blood cancer, and children have weak constitutions. If they are slightly exposed to formaldehyde pollution, it will damage their brain cells, hematopoietic cells, liver, etc.

Therefore, this is also one of the causes of leukemia in children. Therefore, do not use unqualified decoration products during the decoration process, such as inferior coatings and paints. Don't be impatient to move into your new home immediately. Wait until all the formaldehyde is gone. If possible, measure the benzene content in different locations in the room before moving in. You can only move in if it passes the test.

3: Some children inherit mutated genes from their parents, which may increase the risk of leukemia. That is to say, certain genetic diseases can increase the risk of leukemia. For example, Down syndrome increases the risk by 2% to 3%. But most childhood leukemias are not related to any known genetic cause. Typically, DNA mutations associated with leukemia occur after conception and are not inherited.

4: Some children’s parents are often exposed to radioactive substances in their work environment. After such people conceive, their children are prone to leukemia.

5: Snacks are something that every child likes to eat, but now many snacks do not undergo strict quality inspections and enter the market directly. Children who eat snacks contaminated with harmful chemicals are very likely to contract leukemia. Therefore, parents must care about their children's health and let their children eat less snacks. Even if they do eat, they must eat good quality snacks.

Early symptoms of leukemia

Swollen lymph nodes: This is most likely acute lymphonodal leukemia. If a child has swollen lymph nodes for no reason, you must pay attention, because too many immature white blood cells will infiltrate other body tissues and may cause symptoms of swollen lymph nodes.

Bleeding: Because the lack of platelets makes it difficult for wounds to heal, the skin is prone to bruising and punctate bleeding. Some children may also experience internal bleeding or even intracranial hemorrhage, which can often result in the death of the child.

Anemia: Because there are fewer red blood cells, the various parts of the human body receive less nutrients, so people will experience symptoms of fatigue and anemia. Parents must not ignore it!

Fever: Cancer affects the body's immune system. It activates the body's immune system to fight infection and makes the patient weak, thus showing signs of fever. The American Cancer Society even lists fever as one of the most important symptoms of cancer, which should not be ignored.

There are also other symptoms such as bone pain and joint pain, swollen and bleeding gums, enlarged liver and spleen, headache and vomiting, lumps on the skin, pericardial or pleural effusion, headache, vomiting, blurred vision, etc. If many symptoms appear at the same time, you must go to the hospital for a complete examination.
