Formaldehyde is a harmful gas that everyone knows. We are exposed to formaldehyde in many places in our lives. The easiest place to be exposed is house decoration. Many decoration materials will emit formaldehyde, so you cannot move into a house immediately after it is decorated. If the human body inhales a large amount of formaldehyde, it will be very harmful. Fortunately, there are many ways to remove formaldehyde now. So, is it effective to use tea stalks to remove formaldehyde? Can tea stems remove formaldehyde? In fact, the effect of using tea to remove formaldehyde is very limited. For tea, the adsorption of formaldehyde is mainly reflected in two aspects. One is the adsorption of a small amount of formaldehyde molecules. The second is to absorb moisture in the air, reduce indoor air humidity, and promote the volatilization of formaldehyde to a certain extent. In principle, tea leaves can indeed absorb formaldehyde, but in actual operation, the adsorption capacity of a bowl of waste tea leaves is equivalent to that of a roll of toilet paper or even a plate of gravel, so there is not much point in using it to absorb formaldehyde. It is best to place tea leaves in the refrigerator or shoe cabinet to exert its deodorizing and dehumidifying effects. Both dry tea leaves and wet tea leaves have a certain adsorption effect, but the mechanisms of the two are different. Currently, there is no experimental result to show which one has a better adsorption effect. Whether it is dry tea leaves or wet tea leaves, the adsorption capacity is limited and will reach saturation in a short time and will not be able to continue to adsorb harmful substances, so it is best to replace it once a day. The best way to remove formaldehyde during decoration is ventilation, which is the simplest, most economical and most effective method. Open the doors and windows when no one moves in yet, allowing wind to flow around the house, which can take away a lot of formaldehyde in the air. It should be noted that ventilation is only a temporary solution and cannot completely eliminate indoor formaldehyde. Other means and products are needed to achieve the best results. Activated carbon removes formaldehyde. The adsorption effect of ordinary activated carbon on formaldehyde is not very strong. It requires large doses and frequent replacement to have obvious effects. However, after being treated and improved with specific chemical catalysts, the adsorption capacity and adsorption life of activated carbon with coconut carbon ingredients will be enhanced several to dozens of times. However, this type of activated carbon is relatively expensive and is more popular abroad. It has not yet been popularized in China. Photocatalytic decomposition method. Under the stimulation of light, the catalyst in the photocatalyst generates negative ions and hydroxyl free radicals with oxygen and water in the air, which can oxidize and decompose various organic and inorganic pollutants, and eventually degrade them into harmless substances such as carbon dioxide, water and corresponding acids, thereby achieving the effect of decomposing pollutants and purifying the air. |
