What are the dangers of belly button nails

Getting a belly button piercing is a very fashionable thing for women, and women of some ages are eager to do it for the sake of their individuality. Belly button piercing is different from other piercings because its location is very special and it can be easily touched by clothes. Therefore, even if some women want to get a belly button piercing, they are afraid that it will have a greater impact on our bodies. So, what are the dangers of belly button piercing? Let’s take a closer look below.

Easy to get infected!

It is also easy to spread diseases. Generally speaking, the place where the umbilical cord is nailed is not a medical institution, and the disinfection and sterilization are not done strictly, which makes it easy to cross-infect. If your previous customer is a drug addict and happens to have AIDS, and the disinfection is not strict, then you are in trouble.

Preventing Umbilical Ring Infection:

1. After piercing, it is best to wait two or three days before taking a bath, and you should take a shower. If you must take a shower, you can do so on the same day after the treatment, but it is a little troublesome! Cover your belly button with plastic wrap and transparent tape before washing! The specific steps are as follows: A. Take a small piece of plastic wrap and cut it into a pentagon that is large enough to completely cover the umbilical cord ring and belly button. B. Apply a thick layer of erythromycin eye ointment on the umbilical cord ring. C. Cover the belly button with the eye ointment applied with plastic wrap, with one corner of the pentagon facing up. D. Then you can take a bath! Note: shower only! After taking a shower, if a little water seeps in, remember to wipe your belly button with a clean cotton swab or tissue.

2. Try not to touch the navel ring with your hands, because there are many bacteria on your hands

3. Wear low-waisted pants and skirts to avoid compression of the navel

4. Before the umbilical ring is healed, try to avoid soaking the umbilical ring in water. If it is soaked in water, wipe the wound with hydrogen peroxide in time, and then apply Bactroban ointment to prevent inflammation

5. If you want to swim, it is safer to wait until you have had the belly button ring for 3 months. Before that, unless waterproof measures are taken, the chances of the belly button ring getting infected from swimming are very high. And after swimming, it is best to do some disinfection and anti-inflammation. If the umbilical cord is accidentally inflamed and pus is discharged, don't panic, and don't give up on removing the umbilical cord ring, because removing the umbilical cord ring when it is inflamed will leave scars after it grows. If treated properly, the inflammation will improve significantly within 1 day.
