How is tongue cancer caused

How is tongue cancer caused? Tongue cancer is a common oral malignancy that can metastasize in a short period of time. The harm it brings to patients is immeasurable. Therefore, we need to know more about the common sense of tongue cancer, especially the factors that induce the disease. Only by understanding its causes and consequences can we take comprehensive preventive measures. So, how is tongue cancer caused?

The cause of tongue cancer has not yet been fully understood, but there is a relatively consistent view that the occurrence of most oral cancers is related to environmental factors. Some external factors such as heat, chronic injuries, ultraviolet rays, X-rays and other radioactive substances can become carcinogenic factors. For example, tongue and buccal mucosal cancer can occur in areas of long-term and frequent stimulation such as residual roots, sharp tooth tips, and poor restorations.

In addition, internal factors such as neuropsychiatric factors, endocrine factors, the body's immune status and genetic factors have been found to be related to the occurrence of tongue cancer. Oral cancer usually has a precancerous lesion stage before the onset of oral cancer, such as oral leukoplakia, traumatic ulcers, papilloma, etc.

In addition, bad oral hygiene habits are also a factor that induces tongue cancer. From various survey data, we found that more than half of tongue cancer patients do not have good oral hygiene habits, and generally have bad breath and tooth decay, etc. Therefore, we must insist on developing good habits and maintain good oral hygiene habits in daily life.

Patients with tongue cancer should eat fresh, easily digestible foods rich in high-quality protein, vitamins, and minerals. Fresh vegetables and fruits are a must for every meal. Eat more foods that have certain anti-cancer effects, such as cauliflower, cabbage, broccoli, asparagus, beans, mushrooms, sea cucumbers, sharks, etc.

Choose foods that have the effect of softening and dispersing lumps, such as jellyfish, laver, mussels, sea cucumber, abalone, cuttlefish, kelp, turtle, red bean, radish, shepherd's purse, water chestnut, shiitake mushroom, etc. However, these foods are greasy and easy to hurt the spleen and stomach. Eat less when you have poor appetite or fever. Choose different foods for different body types. For those with weak spleen and stomach and insufficient qi, you can eat pigeon, quail, eggs, jujube, longan, ginger, garlic, etc.
