Ginsenoside rh2 efficacy and function

Ginsenoside rh2 efficacy and function

Ginsenoside rh2 is an inducer that can inhibit many tumors and cause cancer cells in the body to differentiate. As we all know, under normal circumstances, once cancer cells are generated in the human body, they are likely to be permanent cancer cells and will never evolve into normal cells. Moreover, cancer cells will accelerate differentiation and affect human health. Ginsenoside rh2 can inhibit cancer cells and prevent them from spreading.

The effects of ginsenoside RH2 on the human body are mainly reflected in the following aspects:

1. Block the anabolism of tumor components and induce aging and death of tumor cells

Telomerase is an RNA reverse transcriptase that can use its own RNA as a template to reverse transcribe and synthesize important sequences of telomeres. Ginsenoside RH2 exerts its anti-tumor effect mainly by blocking the synthesis and metabolism of some important enzymes in the biological reaction system. Treating malignant tumors in this way is generally more effective and less likely to relapse.

2. Affect the activity of cell telomerase and accelerate the death of tumor cells

Telomerase is an RNA reverse transcriptase that can use its own RNA as a template to reverse transcribe and synthesize important sequences of telomeres. Telomerase is a specific marker for tumors. A latest theory: High telomerase activity means active tumor cells. Ginsenoside RH2 inhibits telomerase activity, causing the telomere length of tumor cells to be unable to be maintained, leading to aging and eventual death.

3. Regulate the cell proliferation cycle and mainly kill tumor cells in the proliferation phase

The cell proliferation cycle is generally divided into G1, S, G2 and M phases, among which the most critical is the S phase of DNA doubling and chromosome replication. Most anti-tumor drugs are cell cycle-specific drugs, which mainly kill tumor cells in the proliferation phase, and are particularly sensitive to cells in the S and M phases. Studies have found that ginsenoside Rh2 can inhibit the proliferation of various known human ovarian cancer cell lines in a dose-dependent manner at in vitro concentrations between 10 and 60 μmol/L, and cause cell apoptosis at around the specified concentration.

4. Reduce the side effects of chemotherapy and increase the number of white blood cells

Ginsenoside RH2 can counteract the damage caused by chemotherapy to peripheral blood cells, and also has a significant protective and promoting effect on bone marrow hematopoietic function. Effectively preventing chemotherapy-induced bone marrow damage is beneficial to the completion of the chemotherapy cycle and improving clinical efficacy. It is not only a tonic agent for tonic treatment, but also a protective agent for the functions of various organs and tissues including the gastrointestinal tract. It can effectively protect the gastric mucosa, improve gastrointestinal function, increase appetite and food intake, significantly reduce the gastrointestinal adverse reactions caused by chemotherapy, enhance the patient's physical fitness, improve disease resistance, reduce the chance of infection, and increase the tolerance of the patient's tissues and organs to chemotherapy.

5. Reverse abnormal differentiation of tumor cells

In cell morphology, the degree of cell differentiation is used to determine the malignancy of the tumor and to select clinical treatment plans. It is generally believed that the higher the degree of cell differentiation, the lower the degree of malignancy; and the lower the degree of cell differentiation, the higher the degree of malignancy. The most obvious characteristic of tumor cells is that the cells are blocked in the differentiation process and cannot differentiate into normal cells; moreover, tumor cells also have a high proliferation ability. Ginsenoside RH2 is an exogenous differentiation inducer. It induces differentiation and apoptosis, causing tumor cells to undergo differentiation changes not only in morphology but also in function, ultimately causing tumor cells to evolve back into normal cells or even completely transform into normal cells. It is a new field of tumor biotherapy.

6. Reversing tumor drug resistance

In the process of treating tumors, it is found that the failure of clinical chemotherapy is often related to the resistance of tumor cells to chemotherapy drugs. Ginsenoside RH2 can act as a tumor resistance reversal agent to enhance the anti-tumor activity of chemotherapeutic drugs. According to experimental results, for example, ginsenoside RH2 can promote the reversal of drug resistance in the leukemia resistant cell line P388/ADM in vitro, thereby enhancing the cytotoxic effects of daunomycin and vinblastine. It can sensitize a variety of breast tumor cells that are resistant to paclitaxel. Ginsenoside RH2 has strong anti-tumor activity and can be used to treat tumors that are resistant to multiple anti-tumor drugs.

7. Adjuvant chemotherapy to enhance the sensitivity of chemotherapy drugs

General chemotherapy drugs are not easy to enter tumor cells. There is a P-glycoprotein in tumor cells that can excrete chemotherapy drugs, causing tumor cells to have poor tolerance to chemotherapy drugs. RH2 has hydrophilic and lipophilic properties and can easily enter the cell nucleus and kill tumor cells.
