Rose is a very famous flower in our life. It has many functions and effects. It can not only be used to make delicious ingredients, but also to extract rose essential oil, which can be used for beauty and skin care, bringing great benefits to people's body. The method of extracting essential oil from roses requires skills. Let’s take a look at how to extract essential oil from roses. I hope everyone can understand it. Rose essential oil is the king of flower oils, with an elegant, soft, delicate, sweet like honey and fragrant rose scent. The fragrance is very strong, two drops can make 1 L of fine perfume. It is expensive and has the reputation of "liquid gold". Fermentation Soak the roses in 15% salt permanently. On the one hand, it will prevent the roses from rotting and deteriorating, and on the other hand, it will allow the oil in the flowers to diffuse out. Distillation Put 30kg of rose flowers soaked in brine and 60kg of brine into a distillation flask and perform atmospheric distillation. The kettle temperature is controlled at 105°C to 106°C; the temperature of the distillate after condensation is 28°C to 36°C. The distillation can be stopped when the distillate has no aroma or when no oil drops appear when the condensate is dropped on a glass plate. Oil-water separation After the distillate flows through the oil-water separator, the water-insoluble part of the rose is concentrated and floats on the upper part of the separator. After one day and one night, it is taken out with a mesh spoon and collected in a ground glass bottle; it is reserved for centralized refining. Adsorption The distillate flowing out of the separator is adsorbed by three adsorption columns filled with activated carbon connected in series. After the activated carbon is saturated with essential oil, remove the first column and put the activated carbon collector in a sealed glass container for evaporation: then move the adsorption column forward and place the adsorption column containing fresh activated carbon in the second position. Extraction The activated carbon is extracted with an organic solvent. Soak for 4 to 6 hours for the first time, and 2 hours each time thereafter, for a total of 12 times. After the oil in the activated carbon is extracted, the organic solvent is evaporated and can be recycled. Rough Steaming The immersion wave is distilled by the distillation method of flammable solvents, and the water bath temperature is controlled below 60 degrees. Vacuum azeotropic distillation Add pure ethanol and carry out azeotropic distillation under reduced pressure on the crude distillation residue. The vacuum degree is 99.3kPa; the water bath temperature is ≤60 degrees. The product after distillation is further refined to become rose essential oil. |
