Dull pain in the upper right abdomen

Dull pain in the upper right abdomen

There are many organs and tissues inside the abdomen, and abnormal symptoms inside the abdomen often bring a lot of discomfort to people's lives. For example, dull pain in the upper abdomen is very common in life, and brings torture and distress to many people's lives. When you encounter this situation, you must deal with it in a timely manner. Let’s see how to relieve the dull pain in the upper right abdomen? I hope you all understand.

Here are four ways to relieve abdominal pain:

1. Sit down. Stop moving around so your stomach doesn't slosh around, which can upset it. It is good to let your stomach still. 2. Stop eating and drinking. Give your stomach a break right now and stop digesting solids and liquids. If you really need to eat, eat some non-acidic foods, such as salty crackers, vegetables, or fruit.

3. Take bismuth subsalicylate. This is an anti-diarrhea medicine, so it is the right choice if you have diarrhea.

4. Go to the toilet. It may sound unreliable, but sometimes abdominal pain is just a reminder that you need to have a bowel movement.

What are the possible causes of this abdominal pain?

1. Duodenal ulcer. Clinically, about 2/3 of the pain is rhythmic: upper abdominal pain begins 1 to 3 hours after breakfast, and if no medication or food is taken, it will continue until after lunch. The pain returns 2 to 4 hours after eating and is relieved after eating. About half of the patients experience midnight pain, which often wakes them up. Rhythmic pain usually lasts for a few weeks, then eases for a few months and can recur.

2. Gastritis. Acute and chronic inflammation of the gastric mucosa caused by a variety of different causes is often accompanied by epithelial damage, mucosal inflammatory response and epithelial regeneration.

3. Pancreatitis. Mild chronic pancreatitis rarely has positive signs, and some cases have mild tenderness in the upper abdomen. Late-stage chronic pancreatitis may show signs of malnutrition due to steatorrhea. If it is an acute attack, moderate to severe tenderness in the middle of the upper abdomen may occur.

If you are unable to determine the cause of the disease, the first measure and method you should take is to relieve the pain in time and relieve yourself from the pain and relax. However, if the condition does not improve, you must go to the hospital for relevant examinations, because the cause may be complicated. If you delay, it will only make the condition worse.
