People's daily activities such as talking and eating are inseparable from the tongue, so if people's tongue is diseased, it will have a great impact on their basic life. Some people find that red granulations sometimes grow on the edges of their tongue. So, what should I do if red granulations grow on the edge of my tongue?

Oral condyloma acuminatum is a disease of the human body. They are mostly located in the frenulum under the tongue, on both sides of the tongue, and in the throat. When the warts in the throat are larger, there will be symptoms such as hoarseness, difficulty swallowing, and throat discomfort. When oral warts are too large to affect breathing, go to the hospital for treatment in time. After treatment, use a cotton swab to apply a small amount of Youkang and press the affected area.

Color symptoms of oral condyloma acuminatum: rash, red or pale, mostly bright red, easily bleeds when touched. Under the microscope, the epidermis of oral condyloma acuminatum showed diffuse parakeratosis, and showed papilloma-like hyperplasia, mast cell spikes, vacuolated cells, telangiectasia on the skin surface, and chronic inflammatory cell infiltration.

Incubation period

The incubation period of oral condyloma acuminatum is mostly 3 weeks to 8 months, with an average of 3 months. It is more common in sexually active young and middle-aged males, with the peak age of onset being 20-25 years old. Male patients with an average course of illness of 3-5 months develop the disease shortly after sexual contact, while male patients with an average course of illness of 12 months may not develop the disease in their sexual contacts. Most patients are generally asymptomatic. Lesions vary in size and shape. There may be just a few or many lesions as big as needle heads. They may grow into large tumor-like masses in the anus and vulva, causing a feeling of pressure and a foul odor. Sometimes small condyloma acuminatum may cause pain, itching and discomfort in the vulva, and the patient may have hematuria and difficulty urinating. Condyloma acuminatum in the rectum may cause pain and bloody stools, while large condyloma acuminatum in the rectum may cause a feeling of tenesmus.

Location

They are mostly located in the frenulum under the tongue, on both sides of the tongue, and in the throat. When the warts in the throat are larger, there will be symptoms such as hoarseness, difficulty swallowing, and throat discomfort.

Mode of transmission

Mainly through oral sex. But there is no need to worry too much. If you have had oral sex during the onset of the disease or before or after the onset of the disease, and the person you have oral sex with happens to be someone infected with genital warts or who is in the incubation period, the chance of infection will increase because the above symptoms will cause local congestion and a decrease in resistance, which will give the virus an opportunity to take advantage of and cause infection.

Incidence

Although oral warts account for a small part of the total number of genital warts, the incidence of oral genital warts is relatively high. Therefore, experts remind us that with the gradual increase in the number of sexual misconduct and the diversity of sexual bidirectional techniques, the incidence of oral genital warts cannot be ignored.

prevention

The most effective way to prevent this disease is to keep oneself clean, avoid extramarital sex, and develop good hygiene habits. Once you find traces of oral condyloma acuminatum, early treatment is necessary and you must not be adversely affected by the illness.
